Microsoft teases a faster and configurable context menu (right-click menu) for Windows 11 after years of complaints! Marcus Ash, who leads Design and Research for Windows and Devices, says Microsoft is working on making context menus faster, simpler by default, and configurable to what you use most. That last part is huge. Windows 11’s context menu was supposed to fix the cluttered Windows 10 right-click menu. Instead, it became slower, padded, inconsistent, and still messy. You often need “Show more options” just to reach the old menu, which defeats the whole point of redesigning it. Now Microsoft is taking the same approach it used with Start and taskbar: give users control. Resizable Start. Movable taskbar. Smaller taskbar. Customizable Start sections. And now, configurable context menus. This is the Windows 11 reset users wanted 🥳

using css pow() you can create runtime-configurable fluid typography that responds to viewport or container size 😉 for example, "minimum of 14px at 375px and scale to maximum 24px at 1500px" all powered by pow() and custom properties

other interesting Windows changes on the Xbox Ally. Microsoft has reassigned the right touch swipe to the Game Bar in Xbox mode, instead of Widgets. Swipe up is the new task switcher, and swipe left is Notifications that look out of place, but will be improved

📢🚨 CCTV Footage of the alleged shooter in the parking garage with Fixed Aspect Ratio. Nothing else has been done to the footage. No contrast, sharpening, brightness, nothing. No AI processing. Just fixed the aspect ratio from being filmed from a camera in the courtroom at an angle to matching the corners of the monitor to the corners of the 16:9 aspect ratio of the NEC monitor used in the courtroom. Might be a better view for those looking into it. Zoomed shorter version also included. I used a Corner Positioner in Resolve to fix the aspect ratio and used standard Inspector Zoom.

you don't need threejs for this effect just apply `perspective` to the container and animate each image with `translate3d(...)` over time, where depth is something like `z = z0 + speed * dt` and the rest is handled by the browser easy to map opacity or scroll to speed too

4.000 people watching a troubleshooting session with jaxi. CS2 was crashing and sometimes hard freezing the system during launch. If it happens to you do this: 1. Run STEAM as admin. 2. Verify the game files. 2. Set these launch options -windowed -w 800 -h 600 3. In the game, change your resolution to something bigger. Apply, and THEN change from windowed to fullscreen.
