I remember this so well. I went to a tech convention and they were previewing Underground. I noticed the huge jump in fidelity for that time - wide body kits and camera angles, nitro effects, scaffolding and other track destruction elements, big city neon tracks Iconic series

U1's driving physics felt better than 2 IMO.

Amazing how @NeedforSpeed went from miles ahead of the game to barely being included anymore.

NFS Underground was a whole era. The customization, the soundtrack, the neon lit races through the city at night. No racing game since has captured that same feeling and probably never will
