Ut looks great. But these volunteers must be immediately attended to by a medical team - they may get infected with skin diseases or something more serious ones too. Volunteers during flood in Chennai in 2015 suffered from leptospirosis and two were dead !

We elect these politicians to you know to get required machinery to clean all this , if v elect and we ourselves getting into gutter and doing this , thn for what joy we need these politicians just to loot us and do foreign trips in the name getting new tech to India but all we are getting is diseases

Ideally this should have been the role of CJP to show that govt. bureaucrats are sleeping.

So all the tax payers money and government funded sanitation dept cannot held accountable.

It's not in India, haven't seen such a drive in India yet, we have small scale drives but not this massive, last i saw was cleaning the bawli i guess somewhere in UP or RAJISTHAN.

Need the govt. our system & voters to wake up watching such people. Where is our tax money and municipality budget going if ordinary citizens have to do the job of our babus and govt.

Local govts, MLAs, MPs, Babus should be dismissed and these people should be automatically appointed in those positions based upon the credit system

With this kind of cleaning activism ..Government will happily escape its responsibility and normalise people doing such activities..😀😂

Also needed strict action on polluting / throwing thrash by citizen, municipal/corp/panchyat should collect Green/yellow bags to recycle bio-degradable / non bio

But why? We need people who do not litter our surroundings in the first place.

And government employees will enjoy monthly salary without moving their body.

This is good initiative but we need more people to have better civic sense for keeping the rivers and public places clean otherwise someone will clean today and tomorrow it will be same dirty again
