He wanted to believe he could be master over it, deciding people's fate with a coin and embodying the cruelty of mortality and luck. The end finally humbles him. He's as vulnerable to chance and chaos as any of his victims were. He's not the embodiment of death. He's not in control. He's not in power. I like that even though the sheriff feels overmatched by the horror and brutality of newer generations, that kid would literally give the shirt off his back for a person in need.🎬🍿
