Open borders quietly moves $516 billion a year from native workers straight into the pockets of the businesses that hire cheaper labor. The total “gain” to the US economy in 2015 was only $50 billion (0.3% of GDP) because the $566 billion that flowed to employers was almost entirely wiped out by the losses inflicted on native workers. People arrive with real fiscal and social costs that the open borders models simply never count, and the people selling this deal keep collecting while the workers who compete with the new arrivals foot the bill.
