Israel never genuinely accepted a fully sovereign Palestinian state on any part of the land. They never wanted two equal states; they wanted a Palestinian entity stripped of real sovereignty, dependent on Israeli permission, and permanently subordinate to Israeli power. That’s not a two-state solution. It’s occupation dressed up as diplomacy.
