👉The flight (Dubai to Tel Aviv) turned into a nightmare when the co-pilot suddenly attacked Captain Machchhar with a knife and an emergency crash axe. As they fought, the Boeing 737 plunged over 17,000 feet in less than two minutes.

🔥🚨 BREAKING — Hero Pilot IDENTIFIED as Indian National Smit Machchhar. After being STABBED, he OPENED the cockpit door so passengers could assist. After the Omani MUSLIM co-pilot put a knife in him, he was on the floor, bleeding, and he still clicked the cockpit open so the crew and passengers could get in and stop a crash. That is why 174 people are hugging families in Israel instead of being a crater. God bless this man. Pray he pulls through. Treat the attacker like the terrorist Israel already named. Investigate.

When an Indian fits a negative stereotype, nationality makes the headline. When an Indian pilot fights back in a cockpit, lands a plane safely and saves 180 lives, his origin/nationality disappears from the story. Captain Smit Machchhar is Indian. And he is a hero. Please share this far and wide 🇮🇳

ONE YEAR AGO, Captain Smit Machchhar was asked what's a bigger high: A smooth landing, or an on-time arrival? His answer: "None. Safe. You don't have to think about on time. They've hired other people to take care of that." "A positive landing. Safe landing where I'm supposed to land. If it turns out smooth, perfect." Today, stabbed by his co-pilot, he still got the cockpit door open so passengers could stop the hijacking. He saved the lives of all 174 passengers, and they had a safe landing. Thank you, Captain Machchhar.

Israeli hero aboard nearly-hijacked FlyDubai flight FZ 1073: Yaniv Hayoun Hayoun has no background in security. But when he realized there was an attempted hijacking, he knew he had to do something. He ran to the cockpit and physically fought with the co-pilot, who had stabbed the pilot and was attempting to crash the plane. Hayoun put the co-pilot in a chokehold and dragged. him out of the cockpit. Others came over to help restrain him. Hayoun then went back into the cockpit and pulled back on the yoke to pull the plane out of its nosedive. The plane had dropped 17,000+ feet in under two minutes. An off-duty pilot then entered the cockpit and took over the controls, and Haroun went back out to help guard the co-pilot.

WATCH: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addresses the nation after what he calls an "extremely serious security incident" aboard a Flydubai flight carrying mostly Israeli passengers to Tel Aviv. Netanyahu says one pilot stabbed the other as the plane approached Israel, and all indications show the suspect tried to crash the aircraft. He says a passenger and crew member managed to force their way into the cockpit and stop the pilot before another crew member took control and stabilized the plane. "They prevented a serious tragedy," Netanyahu says, praising those who stepped in. The pilot who stabbed the other is now being questioned by Saudi authorities.

A PLUMBER FROM ROW 16 MAY HAVE JUST STOPPED ANOTHER 9/11. Netanyahu told Hannity tonight that on a flight from Dubai to Israel, one pilot attacked the other, reportedly with an axe, and the plane started nose-diving with 174 people on board. The wounded Indian pilot, bleeding badly and fighting for his life, still managed to unlock the cockpit door. An Israeli passenger named Hayoun ran up from row 16, got knocked off his feet as the plane swerved, and still made it into the cockpit. He pulled the attacker off the controls, grabbed the stick and pulled it back. Other passengers and crew piled on the attacker until the reserve crew could get the plane steady. Netanyahu asked him how he did it, and he said he just had to. His family was on that plane. When Netanyahu asked what he does for a living, the man said he's a plumber. That wounded pilot and that plumber are heroes, and I'm praying the pilot pulls through. Regular people with guts are still the last line of defense when evil shows up at 30,000 feet.

This may be the most incredible detail of the entire story. Reuters has reported that the pilot who was stabbed aboard FlyDubai Flight FZ 1073 manually released the lock on the cockpit door while he was lying on the floor. That pilot’s name is Captain Smit Machchhar. FOX: “The wounded pilot, listen to this, covered with blood and lying on the floor, had clicked open the release of the cockpit door.” “A second set of pilots on board who were due to replace the first pair, landed the plane.” “A pilot who had just been stabbed, had the wherewithal to open that cockpit door. This man can be described as none other than a hero.” That decision allowed the replacement pilots to reach the cockpit and take control of the aircraft. His heroic actions likely saved the the lives of every passenger on board.

Brave Indian Captain Smit Machchhar🇮🇳, despite reportedly being stabbed by the Omani co-pilot and being seriously injured and covered in blood, managed to get the cockpit door opened, allowing passengers and crew to intervene. Off duty pilots onboard then reportedly helped take control of the aircraft and bring everyone to safety. Flydubai FZ1073 was carrying around 174 passengers, including 27 children, with most reportedly Israeli. During the incident, the aircraft plunged nearly 14,000 feet in less than a minute before eventually landing safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has described it as an attempted “jihadist terror attack”, although the exact motive remains under investigation. Saudi Arabia allowed the emergency landing, but reportedly refused Israel’s request to send Israeli military aircraft to collect its passengers. What happened inside that cockpit could have ended very differently. The courage shown by the Indian captain, crew, passengers and off duty pilots deserves recognition.
