In exchange for the release of our hostages, Hamas demands the end of the war, the withdrawal of our forces from Gaza, the release of all the murderers and rapists of the Nuh'ba and leaving Hamas intact. If we agree to this - our warriors fell in vain. If we agree to this - we will not be able to guarantee the security of our citizens. We will not be able to return the evacuees safely to their homes, and next October 7th will only be a matter of time. I am not ready to put up with such a fatal injury to Israel's security, so we will not agree to it. The conditions set by Hamas sharpen a simple truth - there is no substitute for victory. Only a complete victory will ensure the elimination of Hamas and the return of all our abductees. That's why I insist that after we achieve complete victory, after we eliminate Hamas - there will be no entity in Gaza that finances terrorism, educates terrorism or sends terrorism. The IDF just announced that they conducted the largest operation of the war since October 7th, capturing 358 terrorists, including numerous senior leaders from Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which is another terrorist organization in Gaza. Where were they hiding? In the Shifa Hospital. Yeah, the same hospital that the IDF cleared out in November and found signs that Israeli hostages were held there, underground terrorist tunnels, and Hamas’s central command under the hospital. Hamas went back to Shifa and barricaged themselves inside because Hamas hides in hospitals. I don’t know how many times I have to say this, but Hamas continuously puts Palestinian civilians in harms way, by turning hospitals into their terrorist hideouts. Meanwhile, the IDF has been supplying food, water, and generators to the hospital because this is a war against Hamas, not against the Palestinians in Gaza. This is what we’re going up against. And Israel will continue to do everything it can to protect civilians, while targeting Hamas terrorists. Gaza will only be free when Hamas is defeated.
