Smith’s life with ALS until Neuralink stepped in with a chip that reads his brain signals. Before this brain implant, Smith had to rely on eye-tracking software that only worked in the dark. Ryan Fox says the way he played the final hole to win The Open with a birdie was the best hole he’s ever played in his life. He also said he told his caddie on the tee he was going to take it on and try to win the tournament right there: “Yeah, definitely the first part. I mean, I hit two shots exactly how I wanted to hit them. I didn't feel anything for the putt; everything was shaking that much. I was just happy to hit it somewhat near the hole, and to see it go in was incredible. “I did say to my caddie, Dean, on the tee that we were going to take it on, that I was going to try to win the tournament, and I'd live with the consequences if I stuffed it up. To go out there and execute, that drive is not a very comfortable tee shot, obviously, and to hit it in the fairway and give myself a chance was huge. “Then I landed on a good number. I think I had 160 metres to the hole. The breeze was a little down off the left. Obviously everything is a bit jammed up there, so it was just a solid 9, and I hit it exactly where I wanted to hit it. I think I screamed to it, "Please be good," in the air, and it was. “To cap it off with a putt -- everyone practises on the green, I guess, you've got to a putt to win a major championship, to win The Open. It's not like that in real life. It's not a very comfortable feeling. He was shot at close range with pellets, and as a result, he has been left completely blind. He recently learnt that Neuralink is developing a chip that may one day help restore vision. With great hope, he recorded this video in the belief that someone, somewhere, might be able to help bring his plea to your attention. What was taken from him through violence, he now hopes to regain—if only partially—through the power of innovation and the work you are leading. His message is simple: he is asking for a chance. A chance at a future in which he may see again. If there is any possibility for research, future trials, guidance, or even a sign of encouragement from you or the Neuralink team, it would mean more than words can express to him, and to many others around the world who follow your breakthroughs with hope.

Carlos Alcaraz says he initially wasn’t sure if he was cramping or if it was an issue with his adductor during his match against Zverev, ‘I just told what happened to the physio & he decided to take a medical’ “I didn’t think it was cramps at all at the beginning. I didn’t know exactly what it was. I ran to a forehand and started to feel it in the right adductor. That’s why I called the physio. Because it was just that moment, the rest of the legs.. the left leg was good. Not good but decent. After that with all the stress I didn’t know what was going on.
