Apple is using a non implanted vers of Syncron. This is the implanted Stentrode, it is implanted via the blood vessels rather than through open brain surgery. This method involves threading the device through the jugular vein to the brain's motor cortex, where it is positioned to record neural signals. The Stentrode captures electrical signals from the brain's motor cortex. These signals are generated when Rodney thinks about performing a specific action, such as moving a cursor or typing on a keyboard.

Planning on having first blindsight participant to enable navigation. 2027: Triple number of electrodes again to 10,000. Enable for the first time multiple implants (motor cortex, speech cortex, visual cortex). 2028: Get to 25,000 channels per implant. Have multiple of these. Have ability to access any part of the brain for psychiatric conditions, pain, and also start to demonstrate what it would be like to innovate with AI. This is going to be incredible to watch unfold.

So, you bridge the communications from the motor cortex past the point in the neck or spine where the nerves are damaged. It is possible from a physics standpoint to restore full body functionality.
