This is one of the worst takes I’ve seen and it’s even more embarrassing it is coming from someone who voted in favor of gifting a billionaire public funds…

Just explaining why I voted for it. I think voters deserve an explanation. Don’t you?

Perhaps you could elaborate on the municipal bond that will be created to fund the stadium and the credit enhancement component that requires DSCR of 2x to secure the bond payments. Where does the money from the bonds go? This is why NV needs @EduOverStadiums - education matters

@EduOverStadiums Clark County makes so much money off of the interest. And once the stadium is built, we own it free and clear. Pretty nice asset added to our books.

1. The A’s need us more than we need them. 2. Not collecting tax (which then becomes Nevada’s money) is the same as handing them money. 3. If they underperform and revenue goals are not met for any reason, the state is on the hook. 4. Underperform is the A’s current ownership.

Time will tell

Math checks out!

Why not just have an expansion team just like the Golden Knights instead of dealing with a horrible owner in John Fisher who has a proven record of running his team into the ground. Nevada deserves so much better than the A’s.

Opinions differ 🤷♀️

"giving away taxpayer money" and "not making them give us the tax money" are fundamentally the same damn thing. They're owned by a billionaire; ask him to pay for his own stadium.

Really? How so?
