Yes, he is right, I played the Step-Father Role for 4 children that were not my own and they turned out ungrateful (except the one with autism).

That’s a rough experience. Out of the four kids, was there anything that made the difference with the one who has autism, or did the gratitude just come more naturally?

Stepfathers are never appreciated. Hell it’s tough on real dads lol

This is why it’s best not to even date or marry a single mother

Exactly unless her kids are adults

Even with adult kids it can still get messy (weddings, holidays, inheritance, grandkids, etc.). The exception helps, but it’s not always a clean slate.

The father was right on both occasions

Exactly. Both times he set a boundary after being treated like an ATM with no real role.”

Hell yeah he's right. Fuck both of those idiots.... I wouldn't have paid shit either. Let her dead beat Dad pay for her shit

He’s right to walk away. Years of showing up and paying the bills don’t mean much if the credit and the important roles still go to the absent father.

Hell yeah he’s right!!!!!💯💯💯

Hell yeah 💯 That video nailed it. Once the “real dad” shows up for the photo ops, the stepdad who’s been paying the bills becomes optional. Not worth the risk.

Funny how they're quick to give credit to someone who was never there in the first place and yet you're expected to do everything without so much as a thank you. And yet they wonder why men can't be bothered.

The expectation is wild: “Be a father figure, pay for everything, then step aside the moment the real dad decides to show up for the photo op.” Men notice this pattern.

He right

100%. He paid the bills for years and got treated like a stranger when it mattered. Respect has to go both ways.

Treat me like that. Hell no I would not pay for anything. That’s her mother and her real father’s job since that’s how they’re gonna act and what’s the mom backing her daughter dude get out of that marriage. I would. I’m not no ATM either.

Yeah, once they start pulling the “real dad” card while still expecting you to cover everything, the dynamic is already broken. Hard pass on staying in that situation.

He’s on point about everything

He’s 100% right. Too many guys learn this the hard way.

He deserves respect

Facts. That man was doing everything and still got treated like an option.

He did right 👍

Exactly. Years of showing up and still treated like an ATM. Boundary was overdue

Buddy divorced these pieces of shit!!!!!

Lol yeah he finally woke up. Spent years playing ATM and stepdad only to get told he doesn’t count when it really matters. That ‘real dad’ energy hits different once the checks stop clearing

The second part ,if I’m not mistaken, happened in real life. The wedding was supposed to be held at his house. That man cancelled everything

Sounds about right. A lot of those videos feel exaggerated until you hear the same story from someone who actually lived it.

Man this video just triggered me🤣

Yeah that last line sealed it for me too 💀 This is exactly why a lot of guys stay away

It's funny and you become very relevant. When it becomes down to opening your wallet or when it comes down to discipline of children, you're not their father. I'll say it once I'll say it a million times gentlemen, please listen, do not date women with children,

The pattern in that video is real for a lot of guys, but it’s not automatic. Some single moms protect the man’s role and don’t treat him like an ATM + disciplinarian. The problem is you usually find out which type she is after you’ve already invested time and money.

Hell yeah!!!!

Facts. Not worth the risk.

Never play da dad to someone's else kids. In the end they will disappoint u!

It’s not every case, but the risk of putting your whole heart into kids who might never fully see you as family is real. Better to go in with eyes wide open

ALRIGHT NOW, STEPDAD!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎

Stepdad finally woke up. Respect

He should’ve woken up years earlier, but at least he did.

He feels bad indeed and the Decision he took was right one

He did the right thing. Years of support and then getting discarded for the ‘real dad’ at the wedding? That’s pure exploitation. Walking away was necessary.

Paying the bills for years only to be told ‘you’re not the real dad’ at the wedding is a classic blended-family pain point

HELL YEAH he’s right

Exactly. If they won’t give you the respect and recognition of being a father figure, they don’t get to keep the wallet either.

Cut them both off

Yeah. Years of showing up, paying the bills, and still being treated as temporary. Walking away from both is the only move that makes sense.

She needs to instructed on how to give it to him

Real talk. Loyalty goes both ways or it doesn’t go at all.

Definitely yes

It’s not every single mom, but the pattern in that video is way too common. Support is fine. Being treated like a placeholder until the bio dad decides to show up isn’t.

Yeah daughter and mom got life f’Ed up. The real Dad should pay for shit then

Exactly. If she only wants the “real dad” for the wedding and the money, then he should be the one paying. You can’t use one man for years and then switch when it’s convenient.

Good for you you stupid fucking Cunt

The step father finally had enough 😹😹

right decision

Absolute right decision. He put in the years and still got treated like a temporary ATM

Lincoln approved 🍻

I wish people would stop perpetuating this narrative because not every single mother demands it, and not every child with a stepfather is disrespectful. I don’t understand why keep pushing this idea, especially when it’s always associated with black women and black children.

The video is showing one specific scenario, not claiming every single mother or stepchild acts this way. The problem is treating that scenario as the default instead of judging people individually. Same issues show up in the White animated version they posted earlier, so it’s not only being applied to Black families.

Amen

I know how he feels

get it. It’s wild how some people treat the person who actually showed up every day like they’re disposable once the real dad comes around.

Yes he is!!!!!!!

Smash and Dash fellas quit being hardheaded

Exactly. Casual is fine, but tying yourself down to someone else’s kids and drama is a different game. A lot of guys learn that the hard way.

Yes he is 100% right
