"You've never seen a more grassroots movement in your life" This is a really important point by Helen Joyce and we can't repeat it often enough in the face of constant lies about how we supposedly have all the money, all the power, bla bla bla... This legal victory was won by small grassroots organisations taking on the Scottish government, the Equalities watchdog and a huge NGO from their living rooms - one while running a farm! The entire scandal of gender medicine is built upon a false belief: the belief that being transgender is innate and healthy and that hormonally and surgically destroying healthy bodies is the only treatment option. What makes this medical blunder so catastrophic is that not only are the patients all-consumed by this false belief but so is the entire field of “gender-affirming care.” We discussed this and much more with the brilliant Marcus Evans in our latest Beyond Gender episode.

🐿️ this is the part that broke (because i accidentally hit the mic on my teeth while jumping around singing ‘miracle’ at weverse con) 🐿️ i have saw shaped teeth and my tooth chipped at the bottom part 🐿️ can you see it? this part? 🐿️ since the mic is painted, i thought that some of the paint came off and stuck to my tooth so i kept trying to take it off but when i checked at home the next day, i realized that it was broken 🐿️ but i asked a protocol team member that goes to the dentist often…and since it’s not a molar but just a tiny bit at the end…since it’s really tiny…i asked whether i should go to the dentist….not to take it out, of course but all i can do is get them to grind it…but do i really need to? it’ll probably get more blunt as my life goes on 🐿️ i’m really glad that a lot of it didn’t break though

Brandolini’s Law: It takes an order of magnitude more effort to refute misinformation than it does to produce it. Take one of trans activism’s favourite catchphrases: “Gender affirming care is evidence-based.” Sounds plausible. Doctors wouldn’t perform drastic life-altering interventions on healthy kids in the total absence of credible evidence. Right? Wrong. The two linchpin Dutch studies upon which the entire experiment is based were so methodologically flawed that the results should have been completely invalidated. But instead, the medical world mistook the experiment as proven medical practice and adopted the treatment globally and without restraint. In a terrible twist of fate, this occurred in 2014, right at the very moment the messaging of trans activism triggered the social contagion of kids identifying as transgender. The creation of the first detransitioner clinic at Texas Children's Hospital is a massive win and a big step toward exposing the lie that “gender-affirming care” is evidence based and medically necessary. Gender doctors and activists have to be FORCED to acknowledge detransitioners because their existence shines a bright light on the pseudoscientific lie that everyone is born with an innate and immutable gender identity we all sense from toddlerhood, that it can be misaligned from our bodies, and that this mismatch can be corrected with puberty blockers, hormones, and surgeries. This is all complete nonsense. I am glad to have been able to discuss this with Prisha Mosley🦎 recently on NTD News.

Dr. Stephen B. Levine helped establish a gender clinic at Case Western Reserve in 1974 and served as a chair of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). He does not support medical interventions for children. "In medicine, we have a history of many medical misadventures." Here are the 13th claims made by transgender activists that are Dr. Stephen B. Levine identifies are not true: 1. A trans identity once established is immutable, unchangeable, unchanging. 2. Trans identities are primarily caused by prenatal biologic forces. 3. Sexual orientation is entirely independent of gender identity. You often see that the first manifestation of gender dysphoria in someone attracted to the same sex 4. It is not true is that no form of gender identity is an abnormality and no form of gender identity is a symptomatic reflection of some other problem. 5. Gender dysphoria is a serious medical condition and it requires medical intervention only if the patient wants it. So there is some inherent paradox in that idea. It's a serious medical condition that implies that we should treat it, but we should only treat it if the patient wants it. 6. The associated emotional problems are primarily due to living in a discriminatory world, even though many of the children who were diagnosed with gender dysphoria eventually previously had been diagnosed with other problem. 7. No effective alternative approaches to affirmative care exist. This is the only thing that will save your child. 8. Attempts to provide psychotherapy are unethical versions of conversion therapy and should be outlawed. Any attempt to help the child is called conversion therapy, and people are urging that to be outlawed in various jurisdictions. 9. Affirmative care improves mental health and social function. This is the justification for the treatment, even though we don't have long-term studies at all that demonstrate that. 10. Affirmative care reduces the rates of suicidal ideation and prevents suicide. This is the most powerful and coercive untruth that parents of teenagers are told. 11. Teens, even very young teens know best what will make them happy in the future. In other situations, it is obvious that children don't always know what's best for them. 12. Meeting diagnostic criteria for gender dysphoria predicts a good outcome to affirmative care. 13. Regret and detransition are rare among these patients. When people assert that regret is rare, it's because they're defining regret as telling their original therapists that they wish they didn't undergo this or asking to have their body rechanged back to their original form, which is a very limited concept of what regret represents. "If ideas that underpin intervention are not true, how can we trust the intervention itself?"
