It was not an ambush. He simply walked across the room, backhanded me so hard my teeth loosened and then grabbed me by my THROTTLE and slammed me into a wall. Every syllable was emphasized by a little shake by the STEEL GRIP at my throat. It’s been over four decades, so I don’t really remember exactly what he said, as I was choking to breathe, something along the lines of “ STUPID BASTARD, YOU EVER, EVER DO THAT AGAIN, AND I WILL KICK YOUR ASS OFF THIS PLANET!” The next day, was like it had never happened, but I never forgot it. Years later, I became an actual friend.
