Did you know Argentina once had a thriving Black population? In the late 1700s, people of African descent made up over 30% of Buenos Aires. Yet today, Black faces are nearly invisible in Argentine society; not because they disappeared naturally, but because they were systematically erased. After independence, Black men were disproportionately drafted into deadly wars like the Paraguayan War, where entire Black regiments were sent to the frontlines as cannon fodder. Epidemics like yellow fever also devastated Black communities, but while white Europeans received aid and resources, Black neighborhoods were left to die out. At the same time, Argentina launched aggressive European immigration policies under the banner of "blanqueamiento" (whitening), encouraging millions of Europeans to settle and "dilute" African and Indigenous bloodlines. Even cultural contributions like tango, born from Black traditions, were stripped of their African roots and rebranded as white. This wasn’t just neglect; it was a deliberate erasure of a people and their history to craft a "white nation" in South America.

Never forget that this same Nigeria systematically tried to erase the igbos from history before and during the war. And today, Nigeria is still killing and massacring her own. Infant, the number of people that have died in Nigeria is nothing to compare with whatever Argentina did
