"My feeling is this. I'm not pro-immigration. I'm not anti-immigration. What I want is for people who are not corrupt, who are well-informed about the issue, to figure out what the best level of immigration is and to set up a process that works. I don't want to see any illegals. I want to see people who come in legally. I want to see the number. Maybe it's a high number. Maybe it's a low number. Charlie Kirk didn't have a hateful bone in his body. He wanted to debate. I can't think of anything less violent than talking and debating. I don't know what was going on in this young person's mind—the one who killed him—but it must have been filled with absolute darkness and hatred. And it's heartbreaking for me because I don't want to see any young person filled with that kind of hatred.
