Never forget that Nigel Farage admitted that he felt uncomfortable listening to foreign languages on public transport but didn't mind his kids and wife speaking German. He's cool with white people speaking a foreign language but not Black and Brown people.

@mrjamesob My fave local story about racists is from a few years ago. An Asian hertage woman was chatting to her child on the bus. A man shouted at her, "We're in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, speak English". She replied, "Actually, we're in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and I'm speaking Welsh." 👌

This reminds me of a previous job where complaints were made against 2 people speaking Gujarati, and against a few Polish speakers. Yet no complaints about against a couple of Spanish speakers (not that they should be complained about). There seems to be a hierarchy in this issue
