What a cluster fuck, no aspirin, no medics, 30 individuals just staring at him. Grabbing your left arm, sweating and withering in pain. Duh heart attack

Apparently the remedy for a heart attack is to have a dozen chubby guys come out one at a time to ask you presumably the same question until they essentially smother you.

Everyone need a friend like Arn Anderson. He knew something was wrong right away.

Mean Gene: Get the camera off of him. Cameraman: Moving to the right angle and go for the closeup. Eric Bischoff: huge ratings

Of all the wrestlers that have left this earth, there is no explanation of how Ric Flair is still alive. He is the Keith Richards of wrestling

The one crowd where you knew not to bother asking if anyone there was a doctor.

Kayfabe obviously. He was talking about doing something to the other guy's heart and then at that exact moment he himself had a "heart attack".

It was a work but tbh the way he acted, it’s a miracle he did not get a real heart attack.

Did not happen.... He did have one in more recent years but not on this occasion. This helps promote the upcoming match.

The funny thing is WWE at this time had young stars. This segment proved a point that WCW was indeed old “has beens” who are now having heart attacks in the ring. It made them even less cool. In the battle over teenage supremacy, booking this segment was really stupid.

You knew it was a work when everybody but “actual medics” came to the ring.

That was 30 years ago, when Heart Attacks still existed. Now, the heart just stops and everyone seems to simply go into Cardiac Arrest. For the most part. And that’s scary as hell.

Ric Flair had a scripted heart attack angle on an episode of WCW Monday Nitro in December 1998. It was a storyline—not real—and was part of a feud with Eric Bischoff. It stirred up a lot of concern, but again, this was entirely scripted.

Grok..Did Ric Flair really suffered a heart attack live on WCW Nitro No, Ric Flair did not suffer a real heart attack live on WCW Monday Nitro. On December 14, 1998, during an episode of WCW Nitro in Tampa, Florida, Flair collapsed in the ring after an impassioned promo against Eric Bischoff, clutching his chest and arm in what appeared to be a heart attack. This was a scripted storyline angle designed to heighten the drama of his feud with Bischoff leading up to their match at Starrcade 1998. The angle was controversial and widely criticized for being in poor taste, as it caused genuine concern among fans and some media outlets who initially believed it was real. WCW later claimed within the storyline that Flair had been "poisoned" by Bischoff, not that he had a heart attack, to explain the incident. Flair was reported to be fine afterward, even partying at a Christmas event in Charlotte that same night. However, Flair did reveal in 2024 that he suffered an actual heart attack during his final match in 2022, which was unrelated to the 1998 Nitro incident
