Never Forget. 25 years later this photograph still stops the heart. Three firefighters. One flag. A city that would not stay down. On September 11, 2001 they raised Old Glory over the ruins of the World Trade Center while the rest of us were still trying to breathe. 2,977...

On 9/11 the FDNY lost 343 of their own. Not statistics. Sons, fathers, husbands from 75 firehouses across the five boroughs. 121 engine companies and 62 ladder companies answered the call. Every Rescue company in New York went in. They knew the buildings were coming down and they went in anyway. That’s who they were. That’s who we lost. Never forget.

A powerful campaign in Times Square, New York, marks three years since the October 7, 2023, Hamas massacre in southern Israel, where over 1,200 people were murdered and more than 250 were kidnapped into Gaza. The faces of the victims are being displayed in the heart of Times Square, ensuring their stories are seen, their names are remembered, and the world does not forget. Three years later, we remember every life stolen. We will never forget. Credit: Israel in New York

You woke up confused on October 7th. You thought it was just another day under rockets, that it would be over soon, but nothing could prepare you for what was coming. You weren’t ready for the screams, the brutality, the unimaginable atrocities that Hamas was committing. One cannot stop thinking that October 7 was planned. Terrorists sat around tables deciding how to murder innocent civilians. They sent PDFs, schedules, training guides, messages, planning every step of evil, and they called it “resistance.” And then, they celebrated it in the streets of Gaza. Two years later, we still carry the pain, but also the truth. The world must never forget what happened, and must never forget why we fight. We remember. We stand. We will never be silent. 🇮🇱🕯️

One of the hardest nights we have ever endured. We are not okay. Goodbye to a world that chose silence while we suffered. We will never forget those who looked away when we needed humanity the most.

WHY ARE WE STILL ALLOWING BILL GATES TO THINK HE CAN RULE THE REST OVER THE REST OF US? WHO GAVE GATES THE RIGHT TO DECIDE WHAT HUMAN BEINGS STILL MATTER AND WHICH ONES DO NOT? Bill Gates just said humans won’t be needed for most things. And that ”we’ll decide” who still matters. WHO IS THE 'WE'? Let that sit for a second. The man who helped build the digital world is now casually announcing that the people living in it might be optional. No panic. No apology. Just a quiet admission from someone who has never had to worry about being replaced. The scariest part is not the AI. It’s the ”we.” Who is ”we,” Bill? Because it is not the people whose jobs disappear next year. This is not a tech problem. It’s a power problem dressed up as progress. When the people building the tools also decide who needs them, the rest of us are just passengers. Do you trust the people at the top to make that call for you? Courtesy - Captains Obvious

It was an honour to stand at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and to witness the Last Post at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. From Europe, we remember with gratitude the sacrifice and courage of the many Australians who stood beside us in the long and fragile pursuit of peace and freedom. “They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them.”

The reason we knew of the cancer inflection is because we did the work the trolls were not willing to do (remember, they are always lazy - one trick ponies)... Our system tracked NUMEROUS (25+) associated data schema - far too many to be imported to GitHub... because the morons who insisted that I do this had never really done it themselves. It was an act - they were pretending... I wasn't.

🇺🇸 He ran toward the burning World Trade Center to save his sister. A fire truck became his coffin on the morning of 9/11. His name was Michael Weinberg. He was 34. A firefighter with Engine 1, Ladder 24, in Manhattan. September 11, 2001. He was off duty. Standing in the clubhouse at Forest Park Golf Course in Queens. Waiting to start a round. Then someone said a plane had hit the World Trade Center. Weinberg’s sister, Patricia, worked in the second tower. He didn’t finish his coffee. He didn’t call anyone first. He ran. Traffic choked every road leading into Manhattan. He abandoned his own car in Long Island City. He climbed onto a passing emergency vehicle instead. A stranger’s truck. Whatever got him there fastest. He reached his firehouse. He geared up. He headed toward the towers with the rest of his company. His sister was still inside. He didn’t know if she had made it out yet. She had. He didn’t. Weinberg took shelter beneath a fire truck when the South Tower came down. A captain was with him. So was Chaplain Mychal Judge, the department’s beloved chaplain, already gone by then himself. None of them made it out from under that truck. Weinberg became one of 343 New York City firefighters lost that single morning. His father, Morty, had been a firefighter for fifteen years himself. “I knew he was gone immediately,” he said. There was no ambiguity in his voice. Just the certainty of a father who understood exactly what his son had run toward. Five years later, neighbors in Maspeth still spoke about him like he might walk through the door. The golf clubs he never picked back up. The car he left running in Long Island City. The sister who made it out because, for one single morning, nothing mattered to him more than getting to her. He never got the chance to see that she had. A man who left a golf course mid-swing and ran directly into the worst morning in American history, because somewhere inside a burning building was someone he loved. He didn’t hesitate once. Not when the plane hit. Not when traffic stopped him. Not when a truck full of strangers was the only way through. Michael Weinberg made his choice in the time it takes to put down a golf club. The city he ran toward never got the chance to thank him properly. His name is etched into a wall of nearly three thousand others now, one line among so many, but behind every single one of them is a story just like his. A man who chose his sister over his own safety, in the space of a single phone call he never even needed to place. Rest easy, Michael. 🇺🇸💔🙏

The Norwegians are about 5 million. They just won against Brazil in the football World Cup. They have Erling Haaland – the football prodigy. They have Magnus Carlsen – the chess prodigy. They have this guy who sprints uphill on skis and already won 11 Olympic gold medals. What do they know that we don’t? Is it just that they know that talent is not a threat to equality? A nation of five million cannot afford to punish its best for being best. It can only afford to demand more from them, and get out of the way. They are simply the ones who never built a system whose purpose was to make sure no one stood out.

WE EXISTED BEFORE OUR BODIES WERE FORMED… Can you remember who you truly are? Before the first breath tore through the lungs, before bone remembered gravity and blood learned the rhythm of time, you were already here. You were not born into this world. This world was born around you. You were a pulse in the unmanifest, a knowing without a name, a flame that needed no wick. You moved through the great silence as light moves through water—formless, sovereign, whole. The stars were not above you; they were the glittering edges of your own remembrance. The dark was not empty; it was the velvet of your original home. Then came the descent. Not a fall. A choosing. Spirit folded itself into flesh like a secret being hidden inside a letter. Infinity consented to a heartbeat. Eternity agreed to wear a name. And in that sacred compression, most of us forgot. We woke inside the costume and believed the costume was the self. We called the garment “I.” We mistook the vessel for the voyager. But the memory never died. It only slept. It stirs in the strange familiarity of certain nights, when the sky feels closer than the ceiling. It flickers when you meet a stranger and something in you whispers, I have known you longer than this life. It rises in the sudden ache that has no earthly reason—the homesickness for a place you cannot point to on any map. That ache is not depression. It is recognition. You are not a body that grew a soul. You are a soul that consented to wear a body for a little while. The body is the temple. You are the Presence that entered it. Can you remember? Not with the mind that catalogs dates and names, but with the older intelligence that lives behind the eyes, the one that still knows how to speak in symbols, in silence, in sudden tears that feel like coming home. Close your eyes. Go back before the first cry. Before the first wound. Before the first story you were told about who you are. There. In that vast, unnameable stillness— you are still there. Waiting. Watching. Remembering. You have never been only this. You have always been more. And the moment you remember, the body itself becomes luminous. The flesh is no longer a prison. It becomes the altar upon which the infinite agrees, once more, to dance. You existed before this form. You will exist after it. And even now, beneath the noise of this brief incarnation, you are still that original fire. Remember.

Never forget it was Canadians who without hesitation went to fight with our allies. We only had a population of 11 million people at the time and 1.1 million of them served. The Americans never made a move until 2 years and 3 months later and only after Pearl Harbour was bombed.
