This story is actually true and reminder that we need to do a better job documenting and preserving our own history. Too many of these stories are either unknown, distorted, or only discovered through foreign records.

@RealGenural This is what you should be doing in your channel not those hookup stories

Visit Bisa Abrewa museum,Sekondi. You will hear a lot of these stories. There's a Senior High School named after him in Takoradi. His story is well known.

These and many more of our history has been hidden from us.

@Pinto_Clarks He is Nana Baidoo Bonsu. His rebellion is why AHANTA isn’t mentioned in our history. He was a great warrior and a great King

This can’t be real 🤧Now foreigners are telling us our own history 🤧🤧

When you to Baidoo Bonsoe Senior High Technical School there is a pond we call it the Slave pond it is believed to be the place Nana Badu Bonsu was freeing the slaves until he was arrested and the head was cut off. And us we speak the head is in Ghana and the family goes to visit

True story, I went to BBSHTS in 2012 before moving CCTI in Cape Coast. Everything about him is true and he was a good man, he freed many slaves from the white whenever they reach Agona Ahanta. They paid Denkyira people to capture him. The head was later brought back in 2008.

They could have sent us a fake skull and we won't even know

@abrewaaba @gyaigyimii he’s not been honored a befitting burial yet, the head still remains at the 37 military hospital yet to be returned to his home and his people (AHANTA) who have suffered the consequences of this atrocity till this day!

@Emperor_Sels The Ahanta Kingdom (The twin land) is the most underrated Akan Group in Ghana.

@grok is this true??!!

Someone keeps a head for 171 yrs. Returns it to you and the best u can do is to bury it in the soil for it to rot. Why not keep it in a museum as well, make it a tourist location and tell a story. Smh

This story was taught in our cultural and social studies in the 90’s in JSS. You mean to tell me they don’t teach these in schools anymore that people never heard about this? Wow

Wey Ai story this?

Till dates there's this stream that flows through the Agric and science block and doesn't dry up when it's dry season. that's the same stream he was freeing the captives from the whites.

I never knew the Ahantas until I went there for NSS. Nice people

Hmmm Africa has been dehumanized We can’t even stand for ourselves again We feel so inferior

This king was my great great great great grand uncle and we were told this story why growing up. My name is Nana Kofi Yafo Ofinsa Oprabua Otu from the Ahanta Royal family

Only history that African school like teaching to it's pupils is this kind novel, not real time history I just learnt a good history today In space of 2 minutes

So now you agree with me that on the normal, we shouldn't be having a friendly relations with Europeans?

It’s never a false story . We the ahantas feels the hurt when our elders speak of it . A senior high school in Agona Nkwanta was named after him ( Baidoo Bonsoe SHS) .

People will come and tell us our ancestors aided the slave trade. As if there was not a single resistance.

And the Netherlands abstain their vote against the wicked atrocities that their ancestors committed in the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. THE NETHERLANDS DID THIS EVIL AGAINST THE REAL JEWS.

wtf 😭

Show this to FBAs that said African didn’t fight white imperialism. 🖕

I know this story because that’s my people

Chairman turn story teller 🤣🤣Give time some time 🙏

@MansuruShani The head of Nana Badu Bondsoe was found by Arthur Japin, a Dutch writer who was researching for the authorship of his book "The Two Hearts of Kwasi Boachi" (1997).

Hmmm
