Learn more in "The 48 Laws of Power" here:

Drake and Tony Yayo are two guy's who really demonstrated this law in real life to a very large extent

What master??? I serve GOD not you sick men…

Rule Number One

Let them take the public glory while you quietly accumulate the real leverage in the shadows.

A master who feels diminished may rationalize hostility as “protecting standards,” “team fit,” or “loyalty.” Your excellence is judged against the person above you, not against an abstract standard. Making them look wiser, more capable, or more successful keeps the comparison favorable to them.

I'm gonna respectfully disagree. On one hand, I can agree that a student shouldn't try to outshine the master in a boastful kinda way. But any true master's intentions should be to have a student who far surpasses them in skill, ability or accomplishments.

Unfortunately I came across Mr greene and his amazing books 48 laws of power, and 33 strategies of war a bit late! But if someone in early 20s is reading this tweet I highly recommend not just reading but chewing these two books. Helps you face the world, prepared and strong

Outshine yourself

Heights of cynicism and a complete absence of good faith in the goodness of humans and human society... But it's all practical know-how, tbh.

Who needs back up as men??? Those that lack it within themselves as men…

Äsch, outshine the master 🤣

Don't try to outshine the master. Empty your cup, and learn. And if a master refuses to be surpassed, he's not a good master.

A master of being a "master" would encourage you to replace them & benefit from your work for a lifetime % of your skill...

Never ever

Rule that I use to always follow in finance

I have a problem with this law as it requires me dumbing myself down. I'm not doing that for anybody, no exceptions. If you disagree with one of the laws, use it in reverse for protection. The book is still fantastic.

Fouquet learned this the hard way: he built Vaux-le-Vicomte to outshine Louis XIV and was thrown in a fortress for the rest of his life. The master must shine brightest, or you will not shine at all.

Unfortunately, this is a big part of corporate politics; many excellent people have chosen entrepreneurship after several similar experiences.

Sorry, This Rule i cant, cant be a follower

I can’t help it 🤦🏾♀️ I have rahu in rohini on my ascendant

hardest law to follow when you're actually the competent one

This rule contradicts nearly everything mastery teaches. .@RobertGreene

This is a good one. Thank you for this.

God bless you sir Robert Greene
