Why do probabilities multiply instead of add? Think of probability as space—each independent event zooms into a smaller area, and multiplication measures that shrink. Once you see this visually, P(A ∩ B) makes perfect sense. Save this for exam revision and share it with a friend who’s studying math 📌 #ProbabilityTheory #MathConcepts #STEMEducation #ExamPrep

Now in BETA at Unusual Whales: write custom alerts with your own logic and arithmetic expressions. Multiply/Divide/Subtract/Add any numeric fields together and create the alert config you always wanted. For now accessible via the command palette: Hit `ctrl-j` and then type `/dsl` and hit enter. Soon on `/custom-alerts` as well.

🚨 JUST NOW: President Trump breaks down how he perfectly aced the cognitive exam "Pick a number, sir. Okay. 203. Multiply times 9. Divide by 2. Add on 1,324. Subtract 1,292. Sir, multiply it out one more time by 19. What is the answer, sir?" "And I got it right!" "And the one doctor said, I've been doing this test for 20 years. I've never seen anybody ace it." "So then what happened, that was my first term, and that quieted people down. It was good. And then what happened, I did it twice in my second term." "So I've taken it and I've aced it all three times, I'll tell you. Because it is a positive thing. Nice to be smart!" This is VINTAGE Trump 😂😂

This is one of those tricks that makes you feel like you’ve been doing math the hard way your whole life. Just fold a tape measure back on itself, line up the two fractions you want to add, and the end of the tape gives you the answer. No common denominators, no calculator needed. He added 38½ + 10¾ and got 49¼… then did even harder ones and it still worked perfectly. Carpenters have been quietly flexing this for years. Have you ever seen this tape measure trick before, or is this a new one for you?

🇺🇸 Trump just walked through his cognitive test, step by step. Only Trump can turn a medical exam into a victory lap in front of a live audience. "Pick a number, sir. Okay. 203. Multiply times 9. Divide by 2. Add on 1,324. Subtract 1,292. Sir, multiply it out one more time by 19. What is the answer, sir?" "And I got it right!" "And the one doctor said, I've been doing this test for 20 years. I've never seen anybody ace it." "So I've taken it and I've aced it all three times, I'll tell you. Because it is a positive thing. Nice to be smart!" The man aced it three times and he will tell you about it until he aces a fourth. Source: Eric Daugherty

MATH’S BIGGEST PUZZLE: THE GAME THAT NO ONE CAN WIN Imagine a math puzzle so evil, teachers literally tell you not to waste your life on it. It’s called the Collatz Conjecture. You take any number. If it’s odd, multiply by 3 and add 1. If it’s even, divide by 2. Then repeat. Sounds easy, right? Nope. No matter what number you pick, it always ends in the same boring loop: 4, 2, 1. Forever. So far, math nerds have tested it up to 2.36 * 10²¹. Still no exceptions or proof, just stress. Translation: we’re probably too dumb for this. Did you solve it? Congrats, you're the biggest nerd that ever lived. Also, welcome to math immortality. Source: Veritasium
