His words are brave and yet he's fighting tears

Indeed, saw it yesterday- why crop out credit

I was lucky to have had a great childhood. We weren’t money rich but rich in family love. My suggestion for those who lacked a proper childhood is to take what that taught you and make the change in your own life. You are the conductor of your life as an adult. 🌻

I wish I could tell him, you can heal your childhood when you raise your own children wisely while having fun.

Expectation is the mother of all disappointment. Expect nothing from anyone other than yourself. One day when you realise you’re your own worst enemy and it’s up to you what happens in your life then that’s the moment you can become who you want to be and all that pain means nothing and you can let it go.

Coming from a very dysfunctional and inadequate home, I was full angry when I was 18, 19, 20. But, when I saw my parents as children that grew up too fast without proper care themselves, it made me realize they did the best they could even though it was not very good. Forgive

That's still a crying little boy. Hopefully one day he'll grow up to use his own words.

Like I told my kid, parenthood is a job judged retrospectively. If I only knew what my future child will prioritize, I could make different choices. But, I could only choose from the options I knew, not the ones I would eventually know. So, there were piano lessons and gymnastics instead of soccer and cheerleading. Thus, I ruined her life because I didn't give her what she needed, and am now judged not worthy of being in her life because "I shoulda known."

Watch Sleeping Beauty with this perspective. Aurora is the child within, who needs "to go to sleep" for the Prince to become an Adult. Then breaking through walls and his dragon (fear) he reunites with the child within. Myth and Metaphor are more important than you realize. They are for your soul to heal, not just entertainment.

Maybe I just had a great childhood but what does this even mean realistically ? Like mechanically and practically what is am I supposed to take from this?

This is excellent!! Who did this??

You can go back to that child and just say, “Come on home. Right now, right here, come with me.”

Consider Carl Jung’s concepts surrounding “individuation”.

Actor reel monologue? Great way to process it. I hope I can get this message.

My childhood was rough with my parents there was a lot of substance use: speed, cocaine and a lot of alcohol. A lot of drugs, sex and rock n' roll. My Dad is a musician. We were poor mostly material wise; so learned how to take care of what we had and to use our imagination! My Mom did her best to keep things together; to maintain. We always had food on the table and later on she worked her ass off to make sure of it. She never would accept hand outs. My Dad was in prison for most of my childhood..in/out. He trusted the wrong people but mostly he was just carrying on his childhood pains and the pain of him loosing his father suddenly. The traumas that brought him (us). Thank God I have such an inventive and fun older brother that was always full of ideas of fun things to do like making our own haunted houses in the basement. Go carts, club/tree houses, zip lines, shooting off rockets, neighborhood man hunts (hide-and-seek), water balloon sling shots, 360's in the field, doing cartwheels in the middle of the street...I mean overall we had a lot of freedom and fun! I believe that we choose our parents...I am spiritual and see that we are bigger than just these bodies..our souls are eternal energy. Everything is a lesson in this life.

Break the curse/cycle. I learned from my mom, who learned from hers. Told my kid she could repeat the mistakes or not w/her kids. Learn from what I did wrong that hurt her & do the opposite w/her kids. She did exactly that & those kids are GREAT! We learn from our parents.

@RealLTCRicBosi Well said, we need to reprogram our ego….

Christ will help you let go and heal that little boy!!! Through him all things are possible!

@RealLTCRicBosi 💜🙏

Be grateful for what you had. And stop whining some might say. Also, you chose this life. This healing yourself thing is a myth. But to debunk it, just say I am the adult you, you made it, you are safe. And continue to love and help yourself. Life Coaching 101. I'm a Life Coach.

I think most people do not realize that's how much grease would cause themselves I fantasizing about how things should be instead of figuring out how to be happy with how things are.
