during the initial trial reddington asked for bifurcation of the case ie he asked for it to be divided into two 1..she didn't do it(not guilty) 2..if she even did it(not guilty due to reason of insanity) Now the judge rejected that because of how connected and complex the case was with these two reasons and allowed it go on as one trial...Reddington agreed to this because he knew it was easier to prove NGRI and it actually was(convinced 9 jurors out of 12 outright to NGRI) IF he was so sure that she didn't do it he would have argued for not guilty right from the start...he has even stipulated that she did it during the court hearings, lindseys civil lawsuit said she did it ,however sha him bringing all these up is still valid cuz the CW has not yet proved beyond reasonable doubt that she did it cuz there are actual inconsistencies in the timeline.....but cmon Patrick didn't do it.she did it and the prosecution should do a better job and the investigations should be properly done too

Is he the judge? First case was up prove criminal responsibility which led to a mistrial. No defense is trying to create total doubt, it's a simply court tactic that you can find anywhere. Is he the judge saying all this? Prosecution will have thier point to counter his argument
