⭕️ VIDEO | Hezbollah released footage showing attacks on Israeli army forces in the southern Lebanese town of Rashaf, in Nabatieh Governorate near the Israeli border, using swarms of loitering FPV drones. The footage appears to show strikes targeting at least two Merkava Mk4 tanks, armored bulldozers, heavy military trucks, and Humvees. Hezbollah said the operations ultimately forced Israeli forces to withdraw from the town. The “Ababil” drones are low-cost FPV quadcopters, fiber-optic guided to bypass electronic jamming systems and typically armed with RPG-style anti-tank warheads. “Ababil” (أبابيل) is a Quranic term translated as “flocks” or “swarms of birds.” It comes from the story in Surah Al-Fil, where birds are said to have defended Mecca from an invading army.

🇺🇸 🇮🇷 In 1997 he warned an American carrier could be sunk by Iran, and Washington treated him like a traitor for it. Twenty-nine years later, the Navy is being pushed back from the same water. Col. Douglas Macgregor, U.S. Army retired, says the mismatch underneath it never changed: "Iran is in a war for its very survival in existence. We are not. This is a war of choice." One side is fighting for the ground it stands on. The other is fighting to avoid admitting it picked the wrong fight. Douglas Macgregor

Russia is investing in prolonging conflicts in the Middle East. Wars there make it easier to intensify the war here, in Europe. This was the case after the Hamas attack on Israel. It is also true for the war the Iranian regime is waging to preserve itself. After that war, things must not be worse than before – this is key. And the same applies here in Europe – Russia must not be left in any position that it could see as better than before – not in territory, not in technologies, not in politics. This is essential for peace and Europe. From an address at the meeting of EU Foreign Ministers (2/5)

🇬🇧 UK's Starmer government denies “any role” in nominating Iran to UN committee. “We did not have an option to block that appointment.” Priti Patel MP, Shadow Foreign Secretary: “The barbaric regime in Tehran has murdered tens of thousands of its own people. It remains the world’s foremost state sponsor of terrorism and is responsible for appalling antisemitism, and for spying on the British Jewish community. Why did the Government not stop Iran from being appointed to prominent positions in the United Nations Economic and Social Council, as the United States did?” Hamish Falconer MP, Minister for Middle East: “As I understand it, the United Nations appointment she refers to refers was a decision of the Asia-Pacific committee. It was not a decision over which His Majesty’s Government had any role, and was subject to an automaticity process, rather than a vote. We did not have a option to block this, though the Foreign Secretary did raise her concerns about it at the United Nations.”

Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, in today's Sept 21 anniversary speech, on the Saudi claim to Mecca: "We do not consider Mecca a Saudi emirate. We consider it a sacred site for all Muslims equally." Then the history the royal title buries: the Saudis did not inherit Mecca, they conquered it. In 1924 Ibn Saud's Ikhwan stormed Taif and massacred its residents -- women and children included -- then took Mecca, ending Hashemite custodianship of the holy sites. Al-Houthi's charge is that the genocide runs from that day to this: "Since his emergence and his occupation of Mecca, he has committed in Mecca the most horrific crimes, and these are historical facts. ... Three thousand unarmed pilgrims, whom he completely exterminated -- from Yemen, from the Yemeni people -- and this Saudi still bears responsibility for it." "And despite that, he is the one who handed the kiswa of the Kaaba to the criminal Jewish infidel Jeffrey Epstein, to make part of the kiswa a carpet trodden under his shoes, and part of it an object of desecration in his satanic rituals."

It’s been reported that the U.S. and Iranian delegations are postponing their meeting in Switzerland. Another delay tactic. Do not fall for the excuse. Iran has spent decades using negotiations to buy time, shift blame, and avoid final decisions. This is not new. It is the same playbook.

A woman swimming in a lake reached out to grab what she thought was a floating log - and it was an alligator. The pure panic that must have hit in that split second is unimaginable. This is a good reminder that if you are swimming in any body of water in the south, that log floating nearby may not be a log. Nature does not care about your swim plans.
