This is why "courtesy time" based on rank/position needs to be removed from military meetings. You have multiple leaders "in captivity" during a meeting and either you value their command time with their troops or you don't. Meetings should be reserved for critical exchanges of information that absolutely needs to happen quickly and in person. Think of a meeting like a fire fight... talk quickly, pass out the critical information, and then get back in the fight. If you wouldn't talk about picking up trash during a fire fight send it out in an email. All the people in that meeting are too highly paid to be sitting on their arse for the mandatory one hour session every Monday. Don't nit pick what I just said. You know where I'm going with it. Hooah...
