By the end of the year Civ VII may hit Minimum Viable Product. Maybe... It still won't be in a good state though, but it may be functional. I have waved 3 people off of buying this game right now encouraging them to wait. A 4th didn't listen to me and is now echoing me to others.

Ok, sounds solid, but can we get a "Restart" option on the world generation?

I have 10,000+ hours into civ going back to civ2 I’ve put 7 hours into this game and never picked it up again. Wild wild miss.

I find it baffling that people involved in developing and publishing the game thought that this was an acceptable practice to release the game with many basic features from previous titles lacking and only release them months later but then have the audacity to release paid DLC.

I’ve been playing since the original Civ and I think the main problem with this game is the lack of affinity you build with your Civ and your cities as time goes on. When a new era start it almost feels like you are playing a new game and you feel disconnected from your Civ.

your game is dead on arrival bro. largely because you tried to force culture change. nobody wanna keep switching their empire around from Zulu to France to Japan bro do you not understand?

The fact that auto explore wasn't in the game from the get go is astonishing

As a console player, nothing matters more than basic hygiene when it comes to piloting the game. The resource screen is horrid. Clicking R3 needs to snap the cursor to the camera like in Civ 6. I don’t care about any design changes until the game is operable without suffering.

Could we have the option to disable eras and play any civ from start to finish testing if it will stand the test of time?

Beautiful game and best series of all time. VII bores me to tears though. Can't explain it. Just seems very repetitive and in-game actions don't seem to have big effects on anything
