Just finished an absolute monster of a podcast with Justin Drake, and it’s packed with brain-melting insights on the future of Ethereum. Here are the juiciest takeaways from Part I 👇 Ethereum’s future could turn the L1 into a rollup itself and making it the best type of rollup. Justin lays out how the L1, L2s, and new designs like Beamchain, native rollups, and based sequencing all come together into a unified vision for Ethereum as the credibly neutral internet of finance. What’s Broken Today • L2s are siloed — synchronous composability is dead. • Most rely on centralized sequencers, multisigs & slow exit bridges. • L2-native assets break Ethereum’s trustless bridge model. • Governance delays, security councils, & EVM reimplementation = attack surfaces. The Fix: Ethereum-native Infrastructure • Based Rollups: Use Ethereum L1 validators as the sequencer. Removes centralization risk, restores censorship resistance. • Native Rollups: No more reimplementing the EVM. No more Security Council multisigs. They inherit Ethereum’s execution layer by design. •Preconfirmations: Users get fast UX (e.g., instant trading feedback) via ETH-backed inclusion guarantees from L1 validators, with slashing if they lie. • Real-Time ZK Proofs: Slot-by-slot proving is here. ZK-enabled rollups with instant finality are becoming possible. To get there, Ethereum is moving toward real-time, slot-by-slot proving using ZK SNARKs. This enables constant-time verification and removes the need for validators to re-execute blocks. Native rollups use a new EXECUTE precompile to introspect and reuse Ethereum’s state transition function. There is no EVM emulation, no governance lag, and no reliance on Security Councils. Preconfirmations offer ETH-backed execution guarantees per slot, priced to offset MEV opportunity loss, while based rollups decentralize sequencing by aligning with Ethereum’s validator set. Beamchain pushes this vision further: a clean-slate Ethereum L1 design that is post-quantum secure, radically simplified (validators could run on a Raspberry Pi), and ossified through optimality. It proposes gigagas/s throughput via ZK proofs, validator statelessness, and Attester-Proposer-Separation (APS) to maximize decentralization and censorship resistance, allowing Ethereum L1 to scale as a high-performance rollup itself. If you're building on Ethereum or betting on its future, this convo is mandatory listening. To be continued in Part II....

🚨 New EXCLUSIVE Episode w JH from Kaspa Eco Foundation (KEF) Full YT link - In this Episode Ankit sits down with Junny from KEF to discuss exchange listing process, HTX listing update and detailed discussion around the role of market makers. 1. This deep dive covers the economics, technical challenges, and strategic considerations that most crypto projects never publicly discuss. 2. JH provides unprecedented transparency into how centralized exchange listings actually work, what they cost, and why some exchanges are more interested in #Kaspa than others. 3. Junny breaks down the four major costs of exchange listings: integration costs (engineering work to support Kaspa's unique UTXO architecture with pruning and non-height-based block retrieval), $KAS #kaspa reserves (exchanges must hold sufficient Kaspa for deposits/withdrawals), insurance pools, and opportunity costs. 4. The conversation reveals what exchanges actually want from listings: service fees from trading volume, new KYC users, access to new geographic markets, and marketing opportunities. 5. Junny contrasts why tier-one exchanges like Binance , OKX , and Coinbase 🛡️ approach Kaspa differently than regional exchanges like HTX , Upbit Global , and 6. Towards the second half of the episode we get into Market Making and number of market makers Kaspa Eco Foundation (KEF) works with. 7. Lastly JH also opens up about KEF's operations, revenues and foundations prioritizes --------------------- DISCLAIMER This video is for educational and informational purposes only and is NOT financial or investment advice. This is another piece about #kaspa and why you should accumulate as much as possible. I think people don't realize yet the tangible progress that $kas had from the launch of the project. And who complains about the chart going sideways for a few months, that is called redistribution after an amazing run during the bear market. Enjoy. Kaspa: The Blockchain Speed Demon Redefining Crypto Efficiency Kaspa has emerged as a significant player in the cryptocurrency landscape, particularly noted for its advancements in transaction speed and scalability while maintaining the foundational principles of Bitcoin (BTC). Here's an insightful look into Kaspa's achievements and its relation to Bitcoin: Unprecedented Speed on Testnet: Kaspa's testnet has demonstrated remarkable speed, achieving up to 10 blocks per second (BPS). This is a monumental leap when compared to Bitcoin, which processes about one block every 10 minutes. This speed was showcased in Kaspa's Testnet 11, where the network's peer-to-peer dynamics and node health remained stable, indicating the robustness of its design. This capability is facilitated by Kaspa's unique implementation of the GHOSTDAG protocol, which allows for parallel processing of blocks, significantly enhancing throughput compared to traditional blockchain structures. Similarities to Bitcoin: Decentralization and Security: Just like Bitcoin, Kaspa uses a Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus mechanism, ensuring that the network remains decentralized and secure. Kaspa's approach, however, does not orphan blocks created in parallel but instead orders them within the consensus, maintaining a high degree of security without sacrificing speed. No Premine or ICO: Kaspa was launched with a fair distribution method, eschewing pre-mines or initial coin offerings, mimicking Bitcoin's launch ethos to ensure a level playing field for all participants from the outset. Scarcity: Similar to Bitcoin, Kaspa has a capped supply, which encourages a deflationary model. This aspect could potentially make Kaspa an attractive store of value, akin to Bitcoin's role as "digital gold," although Kaspa brands itself more as "digital silver" due to its focus on speed and utility. Advancements Beyond Bitcoin: Scalability: Where Bitcoin struggles with scalability due to its block size limit, Kaspa's BlockDAG structure enables it to process transactions at a scale that Bitcoin cannot match without significant network congestion or fee hikes. This makes Kaspa potentially more suitable for everyday transactions. Transaction Confirmation Time: Kaspa transactions are confirmed in about 10 seconds, compared to Bitcoin's minimum of 10 minutes, making it highly efficient for real-world applications where speed is crucial. Energy Efficiency: By design, Kaspa aims to be less energy-intensive than Bitcoin while maintaining PoW security, leveraging algorithms like kHeavyHash which are more suited to the high-throughput environment of a DAG. Future Adaptability: Kaspa plans to introduce features like smart contracts with very low fees, potentially positioning it as a platform for decentralized applications (dApps) without the scaling issues faced by other networks like Ethereum. The Road Ahead: Kaspa is not just another cryptocurrency; it's a project that challenges the established norms of blockchain scalability. By solving the blockchain trilemma of security, scalability, and decentralization, Kaspa could set a new standard for what's possible in cryptocurrency. However, its relatively new status in the market means it has yet to prove its resilience over decades like Bitcoin. The community's enthusiasm, combined with ongoing development like the Rust rewrite for better performance, suggests Kaspa is on a path to potentially significant growth and adoption. In conclusion, while Kaspa shares foundational similarities with Bitcoin, its advancements in speed, scalability, and adaptability make it a compelling alternative or companion in the crypto ecosystem. Its testnet achievements are just the beginning of what could be a transformative journey in the blockchain space.

Tomorrow, we publish a new The Edge Podcast with Robinhood GM of Crypto, Johann Kerbrat. This clip might be the clearest articulation I’ve ever heard on why Ethereum's roadmap is working, and why Robinhood chose to build its own L2 using Arbitrum. + Ethereum offers security, with proven decentralization + New L1s = centralized databases + EVM liquidity is essential for tokenized stocks & RWAs + Arbitrum’s tech stack wins on engineering merit No edits. No spin. Just a major U.S. fintech explaining why they’re building the future of finance on Ethereum. Real validation for those of us who are long term Ethereum/ETH investors. Here is the clip and transcript for Johann answering why Robinhood chose to build its own Ethereum L2: "You see a lot of companies right now building their own L1. And for us, we felt excited about this idea where we can control anything that we want to build and we don't have to deal with any other chain to talk to or anything like that. But at the same time, creating the security of a real proper decentralized chain is extremely difficult, as you know. And we basically get that for free with Ethereum. The network has been going on for a very long time now and the security is stable and it's decentralized. And I think that's really the key two points that we wanted to have. When you look at some of these new L1s that are being created, it's not really decentralized and it's not really secure. So at the end of the day, you're basically having like a... fancy database that is probably a bit slower to use than an actual database. And so we didn't really see the value in that. With Ethereum, we get the security by default. The second thing that we get by having an L2 is that you get all this liquidity that is already part of all the EVM compatible chains. And that was also a very important decision factor for us. If we really want to bring the stock market onto the chain, we need to have this liquidity. It's not going to be possible if it's in a closed loop or in a closed chain that nobody can access and you need to have like 20 different hoops before you can bridge to that chain. So for us, that was kind of the two elements that we really wanted to focus on and that's why we decided on building on Ethereum. And then we decided on Arbitrum mostly because we love the technology. There's a few things that we are excited about. For example, Stylus. It's a way that we can basically use different language into the chain and we can build on top of that. We also like the way that they prioritize transactions that is, we think, a better way than some of the competition. And so basically we'll use the Arbitrum stack and we'll create our own L2, which will make us also compatible with all the Arbitrum chains. And so we think it's kind of the best of all the worlds. But for us, the idea is like we will start with public stock, and then we think that we can tokenize anything really, not just stocks. It can be private stock, it can be art, it can be real estate, whatever you want to think of. And so we really wanted to have a platform that is kind of easy to build on and we can keep adding on it. At the same time, we know that regulation are going to be hard on some of these products, especially when it comes to financial products. You always have different regulators. You have different rules depending on the region. If you're in the EU versus the US versus LATAM. And so we felt like we wanted to have our own layer that we could customize for these needs. And then anyone that is building on the chain will also be able to benefit from what we are building, versus just putting everything in a contract that will be just good for the people that are using the Robinhood contracts. But so at this point, we announced the chain in June. We are in private test right now, and then we'll do more announcements in the future." Etherealize CEO Vivek Raman: “L2s are the best business model in blockchain” Raoul Pal explains his view of Layer 2s on Ethereum: “We just created excess capacity versus current usage, and it will accrue to the base chain over time.” Etherealize co-founder Danny Ryan adds to this: “I think it’s Ethereum’s favor to have massive optionality in this layer that inherits the security of Ethereum and enhances the network effects of Ethereum. We’re going to continue to work on how these things communicate, how they resolve state differences, and all sorts of stuff like that… But one of the reasons many years ago that Ethereum went all in on that was it was the only way to scale Ethereum without sacrificing the decentralization of the L1.” Raoul emphasizes the importance of this point: “People underestimate scalability because they have no understanding of the scale of the financial system. They have no understanding of the sheer amount of transactions that happen, the speed that it happens, and the value that transacts. People just think, ‘Oh tokenized equities.’ They have no idea of what is required… you have the DTCC, then you have Euroclear — there’s endless numbers of them. People don’t even talk about the derivatives markets. The OTC derivatives markets are another couple of quadrillion dollars. Then you have the FX markets. The FX markets themselves do another $5 trillion a day. These numbers are stupid.” Etherealize CEO Vivek Raman comments: “It’s just naive for people to think that all of global finance can live in one layer. But it can live in one multi-layer ecosystem that has interoperability, ZK, and is future proof, and that’s what Ethereum is. Zooming out, we’re at such an early stage of the adoption curve — the people who say ETH won’t accrue value aren’t seeing how big the market can get. The other thing too that got me to become a bit of a Layer 2 maximalist is that from the bank or asset manager perspective, people want to own their own businesses and maximize profits. My take is that L2s are the best business model in blockchain, and it’s not just me saying that. Robinhood said, ‘We can get the security of Ethereum for virtually nothing, keep all of our operating margins to ourselves, and we’re attached to the liquidity of the largest ecosystem out there with the most stablecoins and tokenized assets. That’s the best pitch out there. Instead of building your own blockchain, just build an L2 and hook it to Ethereum.” Source: Raoul Pal (Apr 2026)

Introducing the World’s First Omnipool for Tokenized Stocks Tokenized stocks now have a way to share liquidity in a single pool instead of being split across isolated trading pairs. The first EARN Omnipool is live with $NVDA, $SPCX, $PLTR, $EARN and $WETH, creating a single AMM pool where every asset can trade against the same underlying liquidity. You can now provide liquidity for 5 tokens in a single pool, keeping exposure and earning fees from all of them. An entirely new productive market structure for stocks. What is an Omnipool? An Omnipool is a multi-asset AMM built around shared liquidity. Traditional AMMs fragment capital across separate pairs such as NVDA/ETH, SPCX/ETH and PLTR/ETH. The EARN Omnipool brings those assets together inside one weighted pool, allowing users to move directly between any of them without requiring a separate pool for every possible pair. For liquidity providers, this means one deposit can provide exposure to the full basket while earning a share of the fees generated across the entire market. Unlike a normal onchain index, the Omnipool doesn’t just hold a basket of assets. It actively provides shared liquidity between them, allowing every token to trade against the same pool while holders earn fees from that activity. How does it work? The first Omnipool is an experimental fork of Balancer V3, adapted for tokenized stocks on Robinhood Chain with Uni . Each asset begins with a 20% target weight, while the AMM continuously adjusts its balances and prices as users trade. Every swap pays a fee, with the majority going to liquidity providers and an EARN protocol share supporting continued development. Liquidity providers receive OMNI, the pool’s receipt token. Each OMNI represents a proportional claim on the assets held inside the pool and can be redeemed back into the underlying basket at any time. Connecting OMNI to Uniswap V4 The Omnipool is its own AMM, separate from Uniswap, which means it does not automatically receive Uniswap routing or external arbitrage volume. To connect the two markets, the OMNI receipt token can be paired with USDG in a Uniswap V4 pool. Because OMNI represents a claim on the entire Omnipool, this effectively makes the complete five-asset market tradable through a single token. If OMNI trades below the value of the assets backing it, anyone can buy it on Uniswap and redeem it through the Omnipool. If it trades above that value, users can deposit liquidity into the Omnipool, receive OMNI and sell it on Uniswap. This creates a live arbitrage link between the Omnipool and the wider Robinhood Chain market while giving routers a simple way to access the value of the entire pool. The first pool is an experiment, but the bigger idea is to create a shared liquidity layer for the onchain stock market. We can expand this to let anyone launch their own Omnipool on EARN.

What if #AI became as decentralized as #Bitcoin? We sat down with our new friend 3700 from Bitcoin Virtual Machine to hear what their incredible team of anons are working on - "Truly Open AI." Full interview here:👇 1: What positive impact will Layer 2s have on Bitcoin? Layer 2s on Bitcoin open up opportunities for innovation, allowing developers to build dApps and smart contracts on top of Bitcoin, expanding its utility and use cases. By submitting transactions for final settlement on the Bitcoin network, Bitcoin Layer 2 networks claim to achieve the same (or close to) level of security and decentralization as the Bitcoin blockchain. Building a separate execution layer allows them the freedom to employ several technologies (such as rollups). Layer 2 can significantly improve Bitcoin's scalability by processing transactions off-chain, reducing congestion on the main blockchain. Overall, Layer 2s on Bitcoin have the potential to address some of Bitcoin's key limitations, making it more efficient, accessible, and versatile in the long run. 2: What does the ETF approval mean for Layer 2 on Bitcoin? The approval of ETF could potentially have several implications for Layer 2 on Bitcoin: Innovation and Development: With a growing interest in Bitcoin spurred by ETF approval, there could be a surge in research and development efforts focused on enhancing Layer 2. Developers and projects may be incentivized to create new and improved Layer 2 protocols to meet the evolving needs of the expanding Bitcoin ecosystem. An ETF approval could boost mainstream Bitcoin adoption and liquidity. This influx of users may also drive interest in Layer 2 on Bitcoin as a means to enhance the scalability and functionality of Bitcoin. 3: What are the primary challenges facing L2s on Bitcoin? The interoperability of different Layer 2s and their compatibility with Bitcoin's main blockchain can be a challenge. Ensuring seamless interaction between various Layer 2 networks and the Bitcoin blockchain is essential for a cohesive and efficient ecosystem. Some Layer 2s may introduce centralization risks if they rely heavily on centralized entities or trusted intermediaries. Maintaining decentralization and censorship resistance, which are core tenets of Bitcoin, while scaling with Layer 2s is a challenge. 4: What aspects of Layer 2 solutions for Bitcoin are you most enthusiastic about? AI represents one of the cornerstones of our modern era. However, achieving a decentralized AI infrastructure, owned and managed by users, has posed significant challenges. The primary obstacle has been the limited capacity to store and execute AI models due to size and computational limitations. To address this challenge, we propose a new blockchain architecture enabling developers to deploy their own Bitcoin Layer 2 solutions tailored specifically for AI tasks, called Truly Open AI. These Layer 2 blockchains are optimized to handle computationally intensive tasks, such as matrix multiplication, directly on-chain. These Bitcoin Layer 2 solutions offer exceptional throughput, minimal latency, and cost-effectiveness. AI dApps are programmed as Solidity smart contracts, ensuring they operate precisely as intended, free from interference or manipulation. Our BVM AI Contracts Library simplifies the integration of neural networks into dApps, empowering developers to embed AI seamlessly. In summary, I'm particularly enthusiastic about the potential of Layer 2 solutions for Bitcoin to revolutionize decentralized AI by providing scalability, security, and accessibility. 5: How is your Layer 2 different from others being built? BVM distinguishes itself as a Modular infrastructure that empowers thousands of distinct Bitcoin Layer 2 networks, spanning Gaming, DeFi, Social, and AI applications. We're continuously enriching the BVM Module Store with new modules to enhance its capabilities. With each new module, builders gain access to a wider array of tools to explore different use cases on the Bitcoin network. Recent additions include the Filecoin module for affordable storage and the AI Contracts Library for constructing AI-powered Bitcoin Layer 2 chains. We're also gearing up to release a ZK roll-up module in the coming weeks to offer an alternative to the standard optimistic roll-up. We aim to simplify the process of launching a Bitcoin Layer 2 network customized to specific requirements. Think of it as a SaaS offering with predefined best practices. Whether it's a DeFi Bitcoin Layer 2 or a GameFi Bitcoin Layer 2, we provide default solutions tailored to each use case. We're dedicated to expanding the BVM ecosystem by incentivizing more builders to join the Bitcoin network. Through various programs and grants, we support builders in covering their operational costs for Bitcoin Layer 2. Additionally, we offer rewards akin to 'L2 mining' to those who contribute to expanding the user base and total value locked on the network. In summary, BVM stands out with its modular infrastructure, tailored solutions, and efforts to grow the Bitcoin ecosystem.
