Yeah goodluck actually seeing anything through the fire and smoke particles - completely useless exploit for human eyes. The frame-by-frame is a nice touch to exaggerate the non-issue.

volumetric smokes going transparent is the game finally admitting they were never real cover to begin with. you were buying a visual effect not a shield
