She survived!

Anybody notice the Pterodactyl flying by?

Landed safely

Two years ago a parasailer got smashed against a bridge and died due to sudden inclement weather in my community. Tourists need to understand that the people running these watersports businesses are not knowledgeable enough to keep people safe.

She passed out after 20 minutes and crashed 45 minutes after the line snapped. Almost landed on an alligator.

This is why I prefer to stay home and drink beer.

When you asked them going up if this is safe...

Well at least he didn't get blown out to sea. If he had they probably would have never found him.

Took her 45 minutes to land, and she got busted up pretty bad.

@redoutlaw92 This is why I don’t go parasailing! I’ve seen a video a long time ago where a para sailer was smacked into the side of a hotel building 10 floors up. No thanks!

I watched a guy fly into a building many years ago and then fell straight down onto a canopy, luckiest shizz I have ever seen in my life. Also same stupid boat captain took out a Mother and Daughter in high winds and they broke loose and both died.

At least if anything happened the parasailing company would be held fully liable. Thankfully, liability laws in Mexico are very strong. /s

Never para-sail. I've watched these guys bounce people off the sides of hotel buildings.

@Grok, what happened to the person whose parasail broke free during the storm?

this isn't a fear for me because I would never, ever, ever be up there in weather like this since I'm not a complete fucking retard

A family member of mine was parasailing. The lion snapped. He landed on the beach and broke his collarbone. No thank you I will never parasail

You mean third world air sports are dangerous?

Hey @grok, In this video, if the parasailer had dropped out of the harness into the water, and they pointed their feet and tucked their arms, could they have survived this drop into the ocean?

So freaking glad I have already done this BS. I will never have this fear again.

And this is why I will never para sail 😭

When parasailing was first becoming a thing, folks did it at a lake nearby where we sailed. It would draw a crowd of boats. Most kept a safe distance but once we saw morons positioning their motorboats below the parasailer, cutting off their landing. They kept trying to reposition and the boats kept relocating. Finally, the parasailer was heading for a perimeter highway, running out of lake. Folks were screaming and motioning at the lookie-loos to get out of the way, which they did just in time, and the parasailer landed near the highway but, thankfully, in the lake. Terrifying to see. I never had a single desire to try it after that...much less still after seeing this video. I'm grateful that she survived and healed.

This means nothing unless we know how it ended

That’s insane the rope broke and he sailed away smh.

@TheNiner4547 This is why whenever we went into a foreign port this was absolutely not permitted.

“They just lost THAT dooood”

Probably some flabby 30-40 year old who has NO idea how to control a parachute or attempt a proper PLF. They're cooked...

@undercoverfarm Why is don't do stupid sht.

I think that happened in Florida.😳

I've checked this box.

Does anyone know if the guy is okay?

Yeah...feck a round chute. Give me some toggles at least.

Oh HELL NO!

@grok where is this at
