Without hesitation and with complete disregard for his own safety, Lance Cpl. Kyle Carpenter toward the grenade in an attempt to shield his fellow Marine from the deadly blast. When the grenade detonated, his body absorbed the brunt of the blast, severely wounding him, but saving the life of his fellow Marine.” Almost four years later, he received the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions that day. Kyle, you are inspiring to all of us.

Four Jacksonville teens arrested after attempted armed robbery; two shot by victim Two 16-year-olds and two 15-year-olds ambushed a man sitting in his vehicle, demanded he get out at gunpoint, then exchanged gunfire in a botched armed robbery. The victim stated that he complied and got out of the car, then shots rang out from both sides. The victim returned fire, striking two of the teens. Police arrived on scene as the suspects fled but were later tracked down by Robbery and Violent Crimes Unit detectives. Scarver remains hospitalized recovering from his wound. This is an AMAZING story! This retired Marine was having some car issues and all of a sudden a man gets in contact with him offering to help. Turns out this man is also a retired Marine, but he couldn't place where he knew him from. When he asked his name, the man helping tells him that he was one of the Marines that this man helped carry off of a mountain during some really rough training. "He remembered, and that is a really awesome feeling." Truly a brotherhood. If either of you see this, thank you BOTH for your service.

A US Marine veteran's arm was broken as he was removed from a senate hearing for protesting against the war on Iran. The marine, identified as Brian McGinnis, shouted during a subcommittee meeting that "nobody wants to fight for Israel". US Senator Tim Sheehy said he had helped security personnel trying to remove him from the room. As attempts were made to remove the veteran from the room his arm appeared to break. Sheehy, who is a former Navy SEAL, called McGinnis "unhinged" in a social media post and that he "decided to help out and deescalate the situation." McGinnis was arrested and faces counts of assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and unlawful demonstration.
