This is not a revenue problem. This is a spending problem. If we’re running deficits in good economic years, imagine how bad it will be in a downturn. Newsom’s budget proves why he shouldn’t be teaching anyone what to do unless it’s what NOT to do. As the new Budget Vice Chair, I’ll be the bad guy who demands fiscal restraint, accountability, and putting Californians first.
