Incredible video shot by Jason Stewart. It is so easy to see the tornado damage path on the east side of Lake Hamilton. This is where the tornado came off of the lake. Check out the convergent and widespread tree blowdown. There is hardly a tree left standing towards the middle of the tornado path. Thankfully the walls are left standing on most of the homes here on the eastern shore of the Lake off of Peninsula Dr. #ARWX

A ground level view of the tornado damage outside the entrance of the Morgan-Monroe State Forest from Katie Ratzburg. This tornado has preliminary rating of EF-2. A reminder, the EF scale is a damage based scale. For example, a tornado can be in an open field and cause zero damage making it an EF-U (unknown). It is not based on what is appearing on radar (we had debris lofted 20k+ feet in the air). Had this tornado gone through more populated areas it probably would have been a higher rating. We are very thankful it didn’t. Even with that said, many people were still impacted along this tornado’s path in Owen/Monroe counties.

We can now officially confirm without hesitation a tornado did in fact touchdown near 21st in Gary thanks to this video evidence from Kayla Weeks-Green. In the video you can see the tornado on the ground spinning debris up and blowing a transformer. The damage aftermath taken by me shows the damage the brief spin up did. #Gary #Tornado #INwx
