New lighting hack? What do you think? 🤔

This is not new. Just swapped two steps. step 1 : make new layer step 2 : make layer multiply/overlay/other step 3: start painting. This just swap step 2 and 3. I think it's way better. Since you are painting in solid colors you can see what you are doing clearly.

That makes sense, I liked the idea and I think it's worth trying that way too.

Learning how to do lighting is far better. The results on this are serviceable, yes, but sloppy.

The drawing is beautiful but the colors they used make it look like they slapped that one instagram filter onto it lol
