The Magic Whip 10th Anniversary. To celebrate, a special vinyl edition of the album featuring brand new artwork and a five-piece capsule collection are being released on 25th April 2025. Includes, a green bomber jacket, red t-shirt, tote bag, ice cream pin badge and a Mr Ok umbrella. Visual artist Tony Hung has reimagined the album’s original artwork to create a special new red and gold album cover. With added foil embossed details, the new artwork edition vinyl is available as a half-speed mastered, single gold disc for the first time. "My reworking for the anniversary edition was inspired by a deep dive into the album’s lyrics. Here, I found more intensity, anxiety and a dystopian edge, all of which I wanted to convey in the new edition. Upturned, the now spoilt ice cream brought a heavier tone, whilst the cone suggested a tower-like structure. The idea of an active broadcast tower, soaring above the clouds felt oppressive and menacing, suitably setting the scene. The final cover art was achieved by juxtaposing the above with the vibrant aesthetic and colours associated with ‘lai see' (lucky money) envelopes; a traditional Chinese gesture, where said envelopes are gifted to loved ones during special occasions such as the lunar new year, birthdays, anniversaries etc. Perfectly befitting The Magic Whip's 10th anniversary, wherein our package contains the gift of music.” - Tony Hung On 12th April, a limited-edition, zoetrope picture disc edition of The Magic Whip will be exclusively available in independent record stores for Record Store Day 2025. Featuring the original Push The Sky Away album version alongside a new live recording from the 2024/25 Wild God tour, this strictly limited release is available only while stocks last. From 30 July to 2 August, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will also take over Resident with a special merchandise pop up, catalogue discounts, giveaways and a post box for letters to The Red Hand Files. Because of you, we just ticked over 1.4 MILLION wishlists 🥳 You have been asking lots of important questions, so here is a quick rundown to keep you informed on all things MOUSE: P.I. For Hire 🐭 🖥️ The game is still launching digitally on April 16, only physical editions will release on July 10, due to longer production timelines 🎮 Switch 2 physical editions are full game-on cartridges, not game-key cards 🛒 Pre-purchases are currently only live for Steam and will not be available for PS5 & Switch 2, but we are exploring pre-orders for Xbox Series X|S 🕹️ We will not be doing a demo, as the team is fully focused on the launch build 💿 The game will not see a release on PS4, Xbox One and Switch 1 on April 16, and details for previous-gen console releases will be revealed at a later stage 💚 The game will not be on Xbox Game Pass and physical Standard Editions are not currently planned, but it will support Xbox Play Anywhere 🕵️‍♂️ The Story DLC will come to PC (Steam), PS5, Switch 2 and Xbox Series, and it will be a brand new expansion, separate from the main story in the base game 🗺️ Check your local retailers in the coming weeks for physical edition listings to populate and take a look at region availability on our website More information here:
