NEW: Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar issues statement on the deadly ICE-involved shooting, calling ICE’s actions “unconscionable and reprehensible:" “This administration has shown, yet again, that it does not care about the safety of Minnesotans. Instead of protecting our communities, they are unleashing violence—terrorizing neighborhoods and now killing a civilian.”... show more

The trauma that ICE has inflicted through Operation Metro Surge will haunt our communities for generations. This reprehensible violence cannot continue. ICE must be abolished and held accountable.

It was not "domestic terrorism.” It was state sanctioned violence. A family will forever live with the pain caused by the admin's reckless and deadly actions. Abolishing ICE is not enough. They must be held accountable.

Six cowardly ICE agents held down Alex Pretti and killed him. They killed one of our fellow Americans. This is Donald Trump’s America. The violence and intimidation ICE has brought to our communities must end now. And let me be clear: not a penny more for ICE.

The violence and cruelty that Trump’s ICE is inflicting on our communities is unacceptable. The American people are seeing it with their own eyes, and they are horrified. It must end.

🚨 NOW: Democrat Mayor of Austin is POLITICIZING the ICE-involved shooting in his own city, attacking ICE agents as "purporting to be law enforcement" The person who was shot is now recovering. He's now insinuating they are not legitimate... And he WONDERS WHY there is violence! People resist and it ends in confrontation Maybe if ICE were not so viciously slandered, more people would comply.

WATCH: This morning, Somali Congresswoman Ilhan Omar Ilhan Omar refused to condemn the violent open border agitators' actions in Minneapolis where protestors are attacking ICE U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and burning the American flag. Omar kept walking as Loomer Unleashed Charles R Downs pressed her on the ongoing violence in her city of Minneapolis. It’s clear Congressional Democrats don’t care about the safety of ICE agents.

Today’s horrific attack is part of a dangerous pattern. People don’t write anti-ICE messages on ammunition and open fire on law enforcement facilities because they like ICE. This violence is directly fueled by hateful rhetoric. It must end now. The Trump administration stands with the brave men and women of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement who risk everything to protect America. They deserve honor, not demonization.

ICE has murdered people on the streets of our cities yet again. We cannot allow this to continue — ICE must be abolished and everyone involved in these murders held accountable.

SEC. NOEM: “I think the violence against our ICE officers and our law enforcement is completely unacceptable.” “Most of these law enforcement officers live in those communities... They care about their communities, and they want to get dangerous criminals off of their streets.”

ICE is terrorizing immigrant communities in Minneapolis and across our state- but Minnesotans do not back down in the face of hate. Thank you to every Minnesotan who is standing up and keeping our immigrant neighbors safe.

LEADER SCHUMER : “What ICE and CBP are doing in Minneapolis and other cities around the country is not border security and certainly not law and order.” “What ICE is doing is lawless disorder, what ICE is doing is state-sanctioned thuggery and it must be stopped. ICE must leave Minnesota today, not tomorrow, not next week but today.”

DISMANTLE ICE! IMPEACH KRISTI NOEM. PROTECT OUR NEIGHBORS! First and foremost, my heart and thoughts are with the families and communities affected by this brutal killing. Sympathy, however, is not enough. It must be followed by real accountability! #Minnesota #ICE #AlexPretti

I spoke at a Congressional hearing in St. Paul this morning about the chaos and fear ICE is creating in our state. Instead of de-escalating, the administration is doubling down—putting public safety at risk and making it harder for local law enforcement to do their jobs.

They Don’t Get It. We Do. Mainstream Democratic leaders still think this is about body cams and reform. But ICE isn’t malfunctioning. It’s functioning exactly as designed — as a private army weaponized against migrants and Black and brown communities. Let’s be clear: this is not “law enforcement.” This is state-sanctioned terror wearing a badge it did not earn and wielding power the Constitution does not grant. Rep. Hakeem Jeffries said ICE should behave “like any other law enforcement.” But ICE doesn’t fall short of that bar — it shreds it. Their raids, assaults, and masked militancy aren’t policing. They’re warfare. And they are unconstitutional. Democratic leadership has failed to recognize this. They posture while communities are brutalized. And then they vote to fund it again. No more. No budget deal. No compromise. No civility while our neighbors bleed. We don’t need performative outrage. We need defense. Organizing. Protection.

Renee Good should be alive right now. This regime needs to work with the state of Minnesota to conduct a thorough, independent investigation into her killing. This should've never happened. And we need to hold this regime and ICE accountable so it does not happen again.

I’m the former chief law enforcement officer of this Commonwealth. The practices these ICE and CBP agents are using in Minneapolis are dangerous, and they're getting people killed. This is not proper policing — and it’s not how we build trust between law enforcement and our communities. The mission in Minnesota needs to be terminated.

It is time to end the occupation of Minneapolis. I am horrified by the killing in Minnesota this morning. Based on what we’ve seen from the multiple witness videos, the victim was innocent and not a threat. The violence at the hands of ICE must stop.

ICE is out of control, and people are getting hurt. ICE is not targeting dangerous criminals, like President Trump promised. They are terrorizing our communities and arresting law-abiding people. My message is clear: Take off the masks. Follow the law.
