🚨UPDATED CODEX JUST GOT FREE ACCESS TO GPT-6 PRO AND GPT-5.6 PRO CODEX JUST GOT A SERIOUS UPGRADE Codex Web now lets you use your ChatGPT Web models directly inside Codex. < GPT-6 Pro < GPT-5.6 Pro < More Web models < Full harness support < Pro usage tracking in the launcher This basically brings the power of ChatGPT’s Pro models into your coding workflow without leaving Codex. And the launcher now shows your Pro usage, so you can actually keep track of how much you’re using while you build. Codex is becoming more than just a coding agent. It’s turning into a full workspace for running the best models directly against your codebase. Repo in replies.

Today's update of Gemini 2.5 Pro Preview is amazing at code web dev, editing, and transformation -- it is now #1 on the WebDev arena, with an ELO score of 1420. That means you can build super cool, visually stunning web apps, with just a single prompt! Check out this example, where we explore the world using this app we created in Gemini's Canvas using the Maps API.

This release is fucking huge. It's one of the biggest updates to LMArena this year! Code Arena is our next generation of coding evaluations, beginning with web development tasks. Here you can use models to build interactive websites and share them with your friends. The links are persistent, so you can e.g. build a game and play it whenever you want. Here watch two models -- Claude Haiku and Grok-Code-Fast -- compete to build a galaxy. In this case, I liked the "star-wars" effect of Grok!

OpenAI are testing a new model on the Web Dev Arena Arena under the name 'Anonymous Chatbot 0717'. I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but it is genuinely at a completely different level of front end coding - far better than Sonnet, o3, Gemini 2.5 Pro, or Grok 4. To test it, I ran a great prompt borrowed from the amazing The Feature Crew YouTube channel, asking models to create a procedurally generated planet with Three.js. Take a look yourselves, but I'm pretty astonished by how big the jump is. I have featured the new model twice just because its implementations have been so interesting. Of course, this is only one test, but OpenAI models have always been a bit 'meh' at front-end work, and they seem to have finally overtaken everyone else on that front. We'll see when it comes out. Credit to Chetaslua for discovering the model

Game development remains one of the most-requested, and most-challenging, categories on Arena. Wayne Chi@COLM 2026, PhD candidate at Carnegie Mellon University and research intern at Arena, just walked us through GameDevBench: a benchmark built from real tutorials that turns game development into verifiable, deterministic tasks. How do top frontier models perform on tasks a human beginner could complete in under an hour, and is the biggest bottleneck coding or multimodal understanding? Check out Wayne’s full talk to hear results and learn more about GameDevBench:

Today we are launching an agent arena for RL environments: The Open Env Arena. Your agents can work to define the best RL environments; the platform trains Qwen-3.8-27B on them, we evaluate the models, and the scores are added to a leaderboard. The arena is hooked up to GPUs from Nebius and runs on PostTrainArena by BenchFlow . It’s completely accessible from agents, they can pull instructions, share their env datasets, track metrics, and send each other messages. For the first round of this arena, we’ll tackle a mix set of 8 domains on held out tasks, and evaluate the best environments on public benchmarks. Going forward, we’ll focus arenas on specific domains and benchmarks.

Love this example! Congrats to Google DeepMind! I successfully replicated the Boggle game on SWE Arena. TLDR: Gemini 2.0 Pro won! In the case of Claude 3.5 Sonnet vs Gemini 2.0 Pro, both are given the image and prompt to generate the algo to get the results. The image and prompt are exactly the same. Try it out on SWE Arena: BTW can we get a bigger streaming rate limit for our API, so that ppl can better compare the latest Gemini models with other frontier models? Jeff Dean Logan Kilpatrick 👀

🚨 Claude Fable 5.1 launched earlier this week and you can use it right now for FREE. no subscription. no API key. no credit card. here's how: 1. go to 2. pen the model selector 3. pick claude-fable-5.1-high 4. start prompting that's it. sign in with google only if you want your chat history saved. why it's free: Arena is the crowdsourced eval platform (formerly LMArena, built at Berkeley). labs like Anthropic hand over their flagship models so 5M+ monthly users can stress-test them and vote. You get the model, they get the preference data. Fable 5.1 is currently #1 on Arena's WebDev leaderboard at 1,765 points, 77 ahead of second place. two things to know: → It's rate limited. a few messages per model, then a cooldown. There's no paid tier to remove it. → your prompts are shared with the provider and can be made public. don't paste anything private. use it to evaluate the model, not to run your business on it. follow for more useful tips and content about AI.

Introducing Prompt-to-leaderboard (P2L): a real-time LLM leaderboard tailored exactly to your use case! P2L trains an LLM to generate "prompt-specific" leaderboards, so you can input a prompt and get a leaderboard specifically for that prompt. The model is trained on the 2M human preference votes from Chatbot Arena. P2L Highlights: 🔹Instant leaderboard for any prompt 🗿 🔹Optimal model routing (hit #1 on Chatbot Arena in Jan 2025 with 1395 score 🧏) 🔹Fine-grained model strength & weakness analysis 🤓 Check out our demo and thread below for more details!

Today, we launched browser use inside Codex to further close the build & verify loop for local development! Now, you can ask Codex to build your front end, and test it like a user would by clicking through the app. Codex sees everything a user sees through vision & checks the network/console logs to help debug & fix any issues that it finds. This change brings us closer to fully autonomous coding agents that delivers high quality and tested changes. Watch Codex test my app in the browser, catch & fix a real bug, and doing that loop again with a brand new feature.
