Digital number plates (ITMS) in Uganda cost UGX 714,300 for new vehicle registration. For existing vehicle owners replacing their old plates, the cost is UGX 150,000 for cars and UGX 50,000 for motorcycles. Now thugs stole someone's number plates when he reported the case to police and URA here is the response he got👇

Nashon Kondiwa: The dealer's plate is for licensed dealers. The issue of KD plates is not, for me, a very big conversation. Since I became DG, I have tried to clean up the backlog of plates, which I found to be over 30,000 plates that Kenyans have paid for but have never been printed. As we speak, I have 5000 in three months, and this has impacted the cash flows and delays that we are currently experiencing, though we will sort it out within the next 3 days #CitizenMondayReport
