Motion graphics used to take me an hour per scene (or more) Now I'm creating them in 3-5 minutes — without After Effects, without Premiere, without writing a single line of code. I'm a former LA filmmaker (still PGA). My entire video stack is now 3 tools: Claude Code + HyperFrames (from HeyGen) + Descript Here's how the workflow runs: 1. Drop my brand style guide into a folder (colors, fonts, components Claude reuses forever) 2. Paste a line from my Descript transcript into Claude Code: "Create a scene for this part of the video" 3. Claude Code reads my brand, generates the HyperFrames scene, renders it to MP4 4. Drag the MP4 into Descript, drop it on the matching line of the transcript 5. Done. 3-5 minutes per scene. The unlock is the brand style guide. Once Claude has your colors, fonts, and reusable components, every scene inherits your look automatically. Bonus — you can take a Claude Design export (.zip), hand it to Claude Code, and it'll convert the HTML into a HyperFrames video you can render and edit. Knowledge graphs for representing information are unbeatable. After this, you will never build a RAG system without knowledge graphs. It will take you five lines of code to build a knowledge graph with your data. I recorded a video to show you how you can do this. After testing every AI toolchain for a year, this is the only workflow I'm endorsing: Figma → Claude Code (Sonnet 4.5) Here's how I'm building Lorelight: 1. Design the happy path in Figma 2. Feed it to Claude Code via Figma MCP 3. Get a strong foundation in 15 minutes 4. Spend the next 50+ hours iterating (still design work) The design/dev loop that used to be isolated is finally closing. I even built a complete design system in within minutes. Custom components, living documentation, accessibility rules all from the Figma designs. If you're measuring the effectiveness of these tools by whether they can "one-shot" a design, you're consuming too many AI hype commercials. Log off. Then go actually build something with your hands. With AI. With your taste. Stop trying to "one-shot" good shit. And go make stuff with the new tools. For designers who want to ship real products, this is the stack that's getting it done.

Huge UI design boost by adding this to my AI workflow 1. Explore variations with Variant. The secret is to use "shuffle layout" and "see other views". This keeps the essence of a design that I like, but gives interesting layout variations. I also change colors and explore narrow by specifying one or two things in prompt, like font name, UI style or light/dark mode. 2. Copy HTML and prompt with Gemini 3 in site builder. Fix minute details like fonts, icons, assets, intro/scroll animations, adaptive layout and make the whole thing functional. Include image references, button styles, code snippets and other components to keep things creative. Often, I see sites that have one cool thing, but the rest is super generic. That's because AI is especially good at being generic without continuously feeding specs. 3. Turn into a landing page by prompt adding new components/sections and connect/adapt new pages. This is the part where most people stop, but it's actually the easiest since AI is so good at reading existing code. "Adapt this {page code} for a {features, blog, pricing, login} page." Finally, set up SEO and custom domain name. Boom, you just shipped a pro-level site that doesn't look generic.

Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt’s #1 piece of advice for startups building in the age of AI “I am struck by the speed with which you can build demonstrations of new ideas.” Eric shares that in a recent hackathon he was a part of, the winning team used AI to generate Python code that was able to fly a drone in a simulator. “It would have taken a week or two for good professional programmers to do that.” He advises founders: “If you can't get your prototype built in a day using these various tools, you need to think about that, because that's what your competitor is doing… My biggest advice is when you start thinking about a company: it's very important to prototype your idea using these tools as quickly as you can. AI has completely changed how code gets written. Models can now generate thousands of lines in minutes. That speed is exciting but it also creates a new problem... reviews are slow. Context is missing. Bugs slip through. The bottleneck isn’t writing code anymore, it’s understanding and shipping it safely. It’s why I’ve been looking closely at tools built AI-first for this stage of the workflow. One that stands out is Graphite Agent. It sits inside your PRs and does what reviews have always struggled with at scale: → Explains logic line-by-line → Surfaces and fixes bugs → Resolves failing checks in context All without leaving the review flow.

I replaced Claude Code’s default --worktree command with a custom one built around Ghostty, Lazygit, and Yazi. By default, Claude Code creates worktrees inside the .claude/worktrees folder within the same project. That means if you spin up 3 worktrees, you end up with 3 complete copies of your project nested inside your main project. It makes the project structure messy and difficult to manage. So I built a hook that: - Overrides the default --worktree command - Creates each branch in a sibling directory: ../worktrees/branch-name - Automatically opens Ghostty panes - Launches Lazygit and Yazi already positioned in the correct branch directory Install it with: npx claude-code-templates@latest --hook=development-tools/worktree-ghostty --yes Now each branch lives where it should, outside the main project, and your terminal environment is ready instantly.
