Every parent begins as a first time parent. I often get responses from parents of older/adult children wishing they’d had access to some of the information I share when their children were younger. You know what? I wish I’d had it too. At the time of my children’s birth I had a masters degree in early childhood education. I was teaching kindergarten. (That’s me in my header photo.) Did it give me an advantage? Maybe to some degree. I certainly had a strong interest, and perhaps a little more knowledge than some. If my son had been born at age 5, I would have crushed this whole parenting thing. But when it came to babies, my knowledge was all academic. On the day our son was born, my wife and I had exactly 0 days experience caring for a baby of our own. The same holds true no matter who you are… every parent begins as a first time parent. And we all make mistakes and learn as we go. I wish I’d had access to the great video examples made possible by social media as both a parent and a teacher… which is why I do what I do here on X. “Back in my day” the primary opportunity to learn about child development was by reading. What an advantage it is to actually see some of these concepts in action. I love thinking this platform might give new parents and grandparents a leg up. But rest assured… we all do the best we can with the knowledge we have. And you were great. So is this terrific new dad, shared to IG by ownitbabe.

Faker on refusing to take a photo with "thumbs down" after beating JDG "At the time we beat JDG, my feeling were less about having beaten the enemy team. Rather, I felt grateful about having been able to play a good series and having had a good experience. This did not necessarily inspire me to make a "thumbs down" gesture. It was less about exercising sportsmanship but more about the emotions that were occuring in me at the time.

When my mom was diagnosed with brain cancer and everything she had to go through when I was in medical school, it solidified me wanting to become a neurosurgeon. And even further, it gave me the experience base that I would use for the rest of my career when talking with patients and their families and loved ones about end of life care. And for anyone reading this who has lost a parent when they were younger, I promise you it gets better and you can accomplish great things. Keep going. #cancer

As I mentioned before, during my preview session I focused much more on the stealth experience, but I still managed to give you a small glimpse of just how good the combat system actually is. Michael Berry hates it when his true character is revealed. So here it is. I brought the receipts. After pretending to be a close friend of mine, he sent me this text back in September of 2020. We were in the middle of a contentious election against Democrats. They were spending millions to flip the seat blue. And all Michael Berry cared about was how much money we were making him by buying ads on his show. Within a few days of that he was texting me all sorts of nasty messages. Then he went silent, until the next election cycle when he started to consistently trash me on his show. Sorry, Michael, but I work for the voters, not for you.

I have a habit of stopping by airport chapels when I have the time. Most of them have closed down in the US in major airports, but DFW reopened theirs and they’re basically mosques. I had a very uncomfortable experience praying in the chapel on Palm Sunday, but I refused to leave while the Muslims were being so nasty. I refused to leave what is meant to be a temple of the Lord, especially on Palm Sunday. I had a long layover so I waited them out. One man grew frustrated after about 30 minutes and left, but not before others came in. They were clearly having conversations about me in Arabic. They weren’t being shy about letting me know they were talking about me. But I sat and prayed and read the Bible and I did not leave until the last Muslim had cleared out. It was actually a very scary experience given how isolated the chapel was, but I think we need to start staking ground.
