It is so many things for me. It's a love letter to the cosmos. A way for me to process grief, heartbreak, and the feeling of insignificance. It's an act of rebellion, a statement that anyone can learn to create classical music through hard work alone. But it's also no longer only mine. When I was a child, my father once told me, "we may not have much, but the gifts of music and the stars belong to everyone." So, in the same way, this album is for everyone who needs it. For my dearest stargazers, who dream alongside me and help me understand who I truly am. For all the dreamers chasing their stars, for those who have yet to find their dreams, for those who have given up on their dreams. I chose to sing on the emotional climax of the entire Starlight Fantasia series, "Holding Hands at the End of the Universe". This is by far the most vulnerable piece I've ever composed, and it was important to me that I sing it with my own voice, even if I'm not the greatest or most confident singer.
