AN ATTACK OF COUNTY OFFICERS! It is the highest level of impunity for anyone to attack officers of the Nairobi City County Government while they are lawfully discharging their duties. Earlier today, our officers who went to remove an illegal structure that was blocking a public road were violently attacked and beaten by mobilized goons behaving like criminals. As a result, four of our officers are currently being treated in hospital after sustaining serious head injuries. This kind of barbaric act is unacceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Let it also go on record that order and dignity cannot be compromised. Whenever we respond to complaints from members of the public, the same public must not turn against the very officers mandated to protect and serve them. We cannot live in a county where everyone believes the law should bend to their will. Let it be clearly understood assaulting county officers on duty is a grave offence, and we shall ensure that those who mobilized, aided, or participated in this attack are held fully accountable before the law. We will not allow a few lawless individuals to intimidate or harm officers who are working tirelessly to restore order and uphold the rule of law in our city. Our officers deserve respect, safety, and protection as they serve the people of Nairobi with dedication. An attack on one officer is an attack on the entire County Government of Nairobi, and we shall revisit this matter firmly to ensure justice is done.

🚨Is the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors about to DEFUND school resource officers to fund more DEI? At a March 2nd meeting, Supervisor Juli Briskman told the county’s DEI department that she hopes the board will not fund a large resource request (elementary SROs), and if that happens, other budget requests like more DEI positions could be funded. The County Administrator already included funding in the proposed budget to fund school resource officers in elementary schools, something Briskman opposes as do most Democrats on the school board like April Chandler and Anne Donohue. On Thursday at 5:15 pm, the Loudoun County School Board is holding a special meeting and is expected to vote on the Sheriff’s proposal to add school resource officers in all elementary schools. Right now, the Democrat majority on the school board is expected to formally oppose the SRO proposal. We’ll keep you updated. Some believe this is being done now so Democrats on the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, like Briskman, can make the argument to take the SRO funding out of the county’s proposed budget. “Why fund elementary school SROs if the school board doesn’t want them?” Right now, there are school resource officers in all middle and high schools in Loudoun County. The Sheriff says the county needs school resource officers in elementary schools because of how many calls of service there are at elementary schools and he says SRO’s can protect the most vulnerable kids in the county when seconds count. Elementary school shootings have been on the rise over the past ten years. The sheriff’s office also tells me there are hundreds of instances where SROs have had to leave middle schools to respond to threats at elementary schools each year. The sheriff’s office was told by the school admin last year that if they want school resource officers in elementary schools, they should get the funding first, and then LCPS will talk. But now it appears the school board is moving the goal posts. The sheriff’s office was able to get the funding, but now there’s an effort underway by Briskman and some school board members to pull the funding and prevent school resource officers in elementary schools.

Leavitt pointed to what she described as a turning point in U.S. policy: a renewed effort to identify and deport illegal immigrants before they strike. “This administration has already done so much to ensure that we are deporting individuals who seek to do harm in our country and who are in our country illegally.” She cited a major ICE operation in Massachusetts—long considered a safe haven for undocumented immigrants—as a sign of that shift. “ICE Boston just announced the arrest of more than 1100 illegal aliens who were in Boston in the surrounding suburbs in Massachusetts, which was a sanctuary city for—a state for illegal aliens.” Then came the line that defined the Trump administration’s stance. “The only place this country should be a sanctuary for are law abiding American citizens.” Leavitt said President Trump has taken aggressive steps to not only secure the border but to overhaul how visas are granted and enforced. “He has also signed an executive order to streamline and make stricter our legal immigration process and our visa process.” Her warning to those in the country on temporary status was unmistakable. It struck like lightning. “It is a privilege, not a right, to enter the United States of America.” “And we are not going to allow people who are pushing anti-American values and especially engaging in acts of violence, to remain in our country.” “Your visa will be revoked and you will be deported.”
