Usually we refer to this as “obfuscation” 😉

Yes 😁 This is also a form of obfuscation, but it is a very generic definition. The main goal of this project is to produce specific unoptimized instruction sequences that are commonly generated by compiler toolchains, hence the name de-optimizer.
