And if you look at the size of Earth relative to the Sun or relative to the Solar System, you realize just how tiny it is. We’re very, very tiny. We only receive about half a billionth of the Sun’s energy. So you can really think of Earth as being like a tiny dust mote in a vast darkness. So the way to expand compute without, you know, using up all the land on Earth is to do so in space. And then you can do it without using space for power and water on Earth; you can just do it in space. So I think we’ll probably be launching our first AI satellites next year, and then we’ll be able to do that, I think, at large scale in about two years.”

This Air Force Veteran and retired State Trooper has a message for Elon Musk- “I think you’re doing great. You’re really shaking up the system, which is the greatest thing you can do. And I’m just curious- are you building a rocket ship for the Senate or the House?” 😆 What a concept- I would be for this- let’s send all the corrupt Senators and State Representatives off the Earth into space. Maybe Elon can create a Penal colony on Mars.💯😉

Tom Segura calls it the "way in" "One of the big things people always talk about when doing standup is having a story but wondering about the 'way in.' The reason for telling a story is often as important, if not more so, than the story itself. You could just say, 'One time, I was almost the spokesman for Subway. Here's what happened.' But on stage, I started by saying, 'I'm so grateful to be performing here. I thought the highlight of my career was when I booked the campaign to be the spokesman for Subway.' Right there, you give yourself a reason to tell the story. You have a story, but you need to figure out your way in. Figure out a reason for saying it. Don't get lazy about those moments; figure out why." The way into a story is by tying it to stakes; the stakes are what make the person across from you lean in and ask, "What happened?"

You realize you have to go to space and you can't scale very much on Earth. All of the United States currently uses only half a terawatt per hour on average. So you know, if you say a terawatt, that would be twice as much electricity as the United States currently consumes. So that's quite a lot. It's actually very difficult to build power plants and then you don't just need the power plants, you need all of the electrical equipment. Need the electrical transformers to run the transformers. You can build power plants. That's what we did at xAI for Colossus 2. It's very difficult to scale other forms of power. You can scale potentially solar. Solar cells are already very cheap. Now put it in space and it's 10 times cheaper because you don't need any batteries. So the moment your cost of access to space becomes low. By far, the cheapest and most scalable way to generate tokens is space. It's not even close. It'll be an order of magnitude easier to scale five years from now. My prediction is we will launch and be operating every year more AI in space than the cumulative total on Earth."
