I took it a step further and used Moon VR Player | Your Private Cinema to watch the trailer in Apple Vision Pro on a giant screen with Quality Boost and Realtime 3D. Yea, I used AI to take an AI generated thing and make it sharper and fully 3D. I kind of hate how much I loved it. Would I watch some of my favorite movies of all time remade this way? Yes I would. Turns out AI is getting to the point where it can do a very good job of taking the spirit of a live action scene and translating it to a compelling animation (at least better than the 1978 rotoscoped version of Lord of the Rings). And it's only going to get better. I absolutely believe this kind of training should be done with consent and licensing fees. Miyazaki hates AI and Lord of the Rings, so this kind of seems like a slap in the face to him. Ugh.

The gun dealer version of "I can fix her!" Customer just brought this in to sell. It belonged to his brother and the widow wanted nothing to do with it. It's pretty nasty on the inside plus major cancer issues in a couple places. I also had to unload the thing when the old man handed it to me. I tried to be as nice as I could on the price, but it has some major issues that will have to be addressed... Biggest question mark is if I can find a vintage barrel for it to replace the current one.... One that doesn't cost a ridiculous amount Too much deep pitting on the original. But, if I can... Veo has an incredible "hidden" ability. It's one of my absolute favorite aspects of Veo 3 i2v. It's ability to transport elements through the latent space, with this simple but very powerful prompt structure: “Instantly jump/cut on frame 1. [Describe the new context]" With this structure, I was able to use my quick drawing as the main subject in all the scenes you saw here. Seeing how the model is able to retain my personal sketch in all of these different contexts.. Adobe.. has released a tool that combines Generative Gaussian Splats with a Diffusion layer and it's not all over the internet? WHAT IS GOING ON :D I had to test this out ofc! Substance 3D viewer, the new 3d viewer just released by Adobe, not only supports viewing of a large, large list of 3d formats, but it also supports generating of 3d models as Gaussian Splats. Combine that with the built-in 3d to image functionality and you basically have at least a few of the steps I've been doing for the last year or so using multiple tools. Exciting stuff! The new Photoshop Beta also supports the 3D viewer and you can import 3d files directly in photoshop as smart objects linked to the viewer. The elements you prompt in based on your models, can be easily exported to your clipboard without backgrounds making it very easy to use this in your normal image editing workflows. I have a suspicion that we'll see much more of this in other Adobe tools and I'm very curious to see this used for things like this in more 3d tools than "just" Adobe Neo (which is fantastic btw). #adobe #art #gaussiansplatting

#SpaceX is preparing to move the massive new #Starship launch mount structure for #Starbase Pad B to the launch site for installation. In this post, I’ll give an overview of the design and use my 3D models to calculate the structure’s mass in its current configuration. This new launch mount, nearly an entire redesign, is SpaceX’s best effort at correcting many of the issues discovered with the mount at Pad A after a handful of launches. The only similarity between this mount and the original launch mount for Pad A is that 20 arms will still be used to support the #SuperHeavy booster before liftoff. However, the arms and everything else making up the structure are entirely different.

From generated reference images to riding a robot raptor in Fortnite 🦖 For now mostly the same workflow, but I also used Nano Banana to get that toe claw in the image lol. Other steps: Images from Grok Imagine, Tripo for raw 3D generation, Hunyuan 3D Studio for lowpoly and UV unwrap, Trellis2 in ComfyUI for texturing and AI upscaling. Blender for cleanup, rigging and weight painting. Splitting up the body parts helped to get a more mid-poly result. Also with better control during cleanup. The final result has 28K triangles. Again with the awesome retargeting tools in Unreal Engine / UEFN. I’ll be testing different AI texturing approaches soon. Some parts can get a bit wobbly at times, most notable in hard-surface objects. Also curious if there are any upcoming weight painting tools 😄
