Crew forgot to calculate the turbulence that would be caused by the freeloaders sitting on the roof and the wings.

My official response is that this is an unfortunate occurrence. My unofficial response is that people getting plastered to the ceiling & hurtling throughout the cabin is hilarious slapstick.

This is truly a lesson learned through blood and pain! During a flight, regardless of whether the seat belt sign is on or off, you should always keep your seat belt fastened whenever you are seated. Sudden turbulence can strike without giving anyone any time to react.
