1 year ago today, I launched my design agency (Finite Supply) with just a tweet. I had nothing lined up, and it was the first time I’d ever fully worked for myself. I want to start by thanking all my clients who have been such a joy to work with. I specifically want to thank: Fedi, OCEAN, Satoshi Nakamoto Institute, HRF, Opennode, and Bull Bitcoin for taking a chance on me as I was just starting out. Here’s a recap of our first year: - We had 22 clients (all bitcoiners). Wallets, exchanges, mining companies, foundations, an institute, multiple saas companies, a merch company, a bitcoin treasury company, a think tank, a financial institution, and an AI company. - Project types: 15 branding, 10 product design, 7 web design, 3 merch, 4 graphic design, and 2 presentations - 11 clients paid in BTC, 11 clients paid in USD, and 2 companies paid in equity. - I greatly exceeded my 20k/month income goal for all 12 months. - The FiniteSupply .co shop shipped out over 200 hats and dialed in production & shipping operations. Upon reflection, we really excelled at: - Creative Direction (being a seasoned “design mind” for founders and teams with little design expertise) - Branding (creating foundational brand identities and guides for new companies/organizations) - Web design (designing and developing websites) - Fractional product design (partnering with teams to design mobile / web apps) Early on I struggled with: - Saying YES to too much work out of fear of the unknown. - Not delegating enough work out. - Not posting enough work on social media. Some things that have worked for the business: - Posting thoughts on the intersection of design and bitcoin - Posting existing work always leads to more work - Fractional design services have been easy and effective for businesses to accept - Accepting and holding bitcoin has fortified the business bigly Some goals for this year (hold me to these!): - Post more to showcase more work, share design knowledge, and connect with potential clients. - Create even cooler hats & products for the Finite Supply shop. - Increase the percentage of bitcoin payments. - Build a product that leverages ai to boost efficiency for American workers who build real things. After testing every AI toolchain for a year, this is the only workflow I'm endorsing: Figma → Claude Code (Sonnet 4.5) Here's how I'm building Lorelight: 1. Design the happy path in Figma 2. Feed it to Claude Code via Figma MCP 3. Get a strong foundation in 15 minutes 4. Spend the next 50+ hours iterating (still design work) The design/dev loop that used to be isolated is finally closing. I even built a complete design system in within minutes. Custom components, living documentation, accessibility rules all from the Figma designs. If you're measuring the effectiveness of these tools by whether they can "one-shot" a design, you're consuming too many AI hype commercials. Log off. Then go actually build something with your hands. With AI. With your taste. Stop trying to "one-shot" good shit. And go make stuff with the new tools. For designers who want to ship real products, this is the stack that's getting it done.

I just designed a full food recipe app with dishes from all over the world… in under 10 minutes using Grok Build with the new Composer 2.5 model And the entire process was basically just 3 simple steps: → Gave the idea I had in my mind and asked it to plan everything → Told it to execute the plan → Made a few layout adjustments …and done This honestly feels like a cheat code for app development.... I am SO EXCITED to announce my new project: the YesAnd Technologies 90 DAY HARDWARE CHALLENGE I teamed up with two MIT classmates to ideate, design and SHIP an all new hardware product in just 90 days! Our new ventures is called YesAnd Technologies For a long time I have been fascinated by the opportunity that sits at the intersection of AI, social media, and new manufacturing capabilities. I believe it is possible to ship hardware people love faster than ever before for three reasons: 1. AI tools increase the speed of design far beyond where we were just two years ago. Vibe hardware anyone? 2. Social media enables hardware creators to build a community and receive lightning fast feedback on product ideas. 3. New manufacturing technologies in Shenzhen enable things like real injection molding tooling in less than two weeks. Anthropic released Claude Design TODAY and it's now accessible at I spent the last hour giving it a first look, and shared my thoughts and results in the video below. This is a BIG drop. This is a new design surface from Anthropic, and it changes what "AI design" means. Short version: Claude can now design. Not "describe a design." Not "generate an image of a design." Actual production work — prototypes, wireframes, high-fidelity mocks, slide decks, landing pages — editable, on-brand, and ready to hand off. Here's what stood out on first look: → Real design surfaces Prototypes, wireframes, hi-fi, and slide decks — each with templates and proper structure, not just pretty screenshots. → Comment-based edits Leave a comment on any element and Claude revises it. This is the Figma-style review loop, with the designer replaced by a model that works at 3am. → Brand design systems You can feed it your system — colors, type, components — and it actually respects it. On-brand output, not generic AI slop. → Export anywhere PDF, PowerPoint, Canva, standalone HTML. Plus a built-in handoff straight to Claude Code for engineers to implement. → Import from real tools Figma, GitHub, and captured web elements come in as inputs. Your existing work is the starting line, not the discard pile. → Collaboration Share links for view / comment / edit — the exact tier system teams already expect. What I tested on Opus 4.7: • A 5-slide deck generated from a single screenshot. Claude asked clarifying questions BEFORE generating and shipped speaker notes by default. • A landing page build. Solid first pass, real components, real layout logic. • Multiple chats running concurrently. You can parallelize design work across threads like a small team. Why this matters: PMs, founders, marketers, and non-engineers can now create designs that engineers can actually ship with production-ready output and a claude code handoff built in. The gap between "I have an idea" and "here's a working prototype with my brand applied" just collapsed to minutes. Full walkthrough, live demos, exports, and honest takes on where it breaks below.
