The "climate crisis" is a political coined word that only exists in politics. 📍Emissions of carbon dioxide are quickly absorbed by the sea and do not accumulate in the atmosphere to any great extent, carbon dioxide is the most water-soluble gas of all air gases 📍Higher levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere lead to the world's vegetation sequestering carbon dioxide much faster 📍The Earth's long-term carbon dioxide content in the air has been falling for the past 140 million years Peer-reviewed study shows that 📍Carbon dioxide emissions cannot cause "global warming." 📍Not only did they find that higher levels of carbon dioxide made no difference, but they also showed that it is simply not possible for increases in carbon dioxide to cause temperatures to rise 📍All our efforts to reduce emissions, in order for us to reach targets such as US's and the EU's climate goals, the sea will replace with the same amount as the reduction. So once again equilibrium balance prevails between the carbon dioxide content of the surface ocean and the air, i.e. if our emissions are reduced by 4 tons, the ocean responds by releasing 4 tons 📍The Covid 19 pandemic meant a gigantic reduction in anthropogenic carbon dioxide, where the closure of large parts of the economy did not make the slightest impression on the carbon dioxide content of the atmosphere, because the ocean responded by releasing the same amount as the reduction in the amount of carbon dioxide during the Covid 19 pandemic 99% of the Air consists of: 📍78% nitrogen 📍21% oxygen That's all! Small residual gases though. 📍0.93% argon 📍0.042% carbon dioxide (barely measurable that ppm is used) 📍0.0002% methane Humanity's 10GtC/year (36.66GtCO2) corresponds to approximately 4% of the natural flows. Humans are thus responsible for a small part of the turnover in the earth's carbon cycle. Only 0.0017%(4% of 0.042%) The level of carbon dioxide in the air is alarmingly low, even after the increase from 0.03% to 0.04% The increase of 0.01% means 1 extra molecule per 10,000 The levels are so low that the air now only contains trace amounts of carbon dioxide. Data presented by the Swedish Agricultural Agency shows that the yield of Scandinavian bread grain plants drops rapidly towards zero already when the carbon dioxide content approaches 0.02%. The starvation limit for today's C3 plants is around 0.02%. Carbon dioxide has become a biological scarce commodity, for which there is strong competition Biodiversity is far more threatened by a lack of carbon dioxide than by an excess of carbon dioxide Increasing carbon dioxide levels are not life-threatening, but strongly life-enhancing They provide more food for the plants and thus also for animals and microorganisms. 📍Greener world 📍Improved food supply, we can feed more people 📍The plants become more frugal with water by forming fewer cleavage openings 📍Strengthens plants' nutrient uptake, resistance to ozone, and tolerance to high temperatures 📍Beneficial for plants. When plants are healthy, so are herbivores, predators and microorganisms. Life becomes completely more luxuriant at higher carbon dioxide levels The increased air levels of carbon dioxide have had a significant fertilization effect, as the IPCC assumed in the 2023 report The carbon dioxide content of the air is not frighteningly high, but frighteningly low! The world's most important cereal, rice, gives optimal yields at a carbon dioxide content of around 0.10%. Almost all examined plant species have had growth increases of the order of 25-100% at 0.10% carbon dioxide content. And when plants are healthy, so are herbivores, predators and microorganisms. Life becomes more lush at higher levels. It seems totally pointless and unwarranted to worry that our use of fossil fuels will plunge us into ruin by increasing the carbon dioxide content of the air.

Just stopping by to remind everyone: Shell bringing affordable fossil fuels to market helps save Billions of lives everyday and makes life easier for Billions more. When do we celebrate fossil fuel: the gift of life.

Shell knew as early as 1966, according to documentary evidence revealed in my biography of James Lovelock.

Without oil, we wouldn't exist. Without fossil fuels we wouldn't exist. By killing of fossil fuels you destroy everything that's better for us to live.

Don't like oil? Stop driving, take off your synthetic clothes, don't heat or cool your business and home. Otherwise, piss off.

@millj919 Of course Shell knew. I have their full page double truck ad in early 1970s Life magazines expressing their concerns.
