🎯 Gen. Neva, the fool who dreamed of “regime change” in Kigali Burundian ruler Évariste Ndayishimiye, known as Gen. Neva, still plays the victim after spectacularly failing to overthrow Rwanda’s government. His excuse for keeping Burundi mired in Congo’s civil war, despite a peaceful exit offered by the AFC/M23, borders on farce. “Rwanda wants to attack us,” he claims. There is no evidence to support the claim. Through genocidal rhetoric, Neva brands the AFC/M23 as an extension of Rwanda's army, stripping its fighters of their Congolese citizenship, even as the movement has repeatedly declared it has no political or territorial ambitions in Burundi. Before Uvira fell, AFC/M23 leaders traveled to Burundi to warn against meddling in an internal Congolese conflict and to urge withdrawal to avoid regional escalation. Burundi ignored the warning. After Uvira’s liberation, the movement again pledged not to strike Burundi. Neva responded by sending troops to Fizi and Kalemie in a desperate bid to retake the city. Rwanda, on its part, has shown no appetite for war with a neighbor whose provocations it has deliberately absorbed for years rather than escalate. The irony is hard to miss. From Kinshasa, Neva openly boasted about helping “liberate” Rwandan youth, code for backing the FDLR’s genocidal and regime change project in Kigali. He joined the Kinshasa coalition, secretly deploying Burundian troops to North Kivu, first disguised in FARDC uniforms, then exposed after some were captured and paraded by the AFC M23. Now Neva claims Rwanda wants to attack Burundi, conveniently forgetting that his own covert deployments, in support of Tshisekedi’s regime change agenda, sparked the tensions he now laments. Rwanda even facilitated Burundian troop movements through its territory under the EAC mandate, trusting they would help enforce a ceasefire between Kinshasa and the M23. Instead, those troops joined the fighting, backing Nyatura militias and their FDLR allies as they burned 300 homes in Nturo. Rwanda also chose restraint in 2019, when the FLN terrorist group founded by Paul Rusesabagina launched deadly attacks on southern Rwanda from bases in Burundi, killing civilians. It is worth mentioning that this terror outfit has not been disarmed and remains deployed in Burundi's Kibira forest, close to Rwanda's borders. The record is clear. Rwanda had grounds for retaliation but insists on de-escalation and dialogue. Burundi chose subversion, proxy warfare, and border closures. Neva’s victim narrative collapses under the weight of his own actions. History has shown that alliances with the FDLR end badly. Neva would be better off dealing with the consequences of his military defeat by the AFC/M23 instead of provoking neighbors he cannot intimidate. He has no leverage left. De-escalation is his only remaining option. If he is wise enough to take it.

Kinshasa continues to hide its military losses by making up stories and spreading propaganda, diligently carried out by news agency Reuters & news media TV5MONDE Info. Other than collectively admitting that Kinshasa is violating international law by using mercenaries who are operating drones that bomb civilians, namely Tutsi Banyamulenge in the High Plateaus, and around Uvira, Kinshasa, Reuters and TV5Monde, are claiming that Erik Prince "liberated" or "participated in liberating Uvira". First of all, as we have reported directly from Uvira on January 17th via Conspiracy Tracker Great Lakes, AFC/M23 withdrew voluntarily at sunset on January 17th. My team and I personally followed the last convoy of AFC/M23 as they exited #Uvira. While, we could see wazalendo at the outskirts of Uvira, and could hear some remote gunshots that never reached anywhere near Uvira center, NO wazalendo, FARDC, Burundian troops, let alone white mercenaries dared approaching the city of Uvira before AFC/M23 exited. #Uvira was entirely secured by AFC/M23 during the entire time they were positioned there from December 10th to January 17th. And it is only after they had left, that the wazalendo stormed into the city to loot, shoot, and to attack civilians and their property. The Burundian troops alongside FARDC followed thereafter from Bujumbura. Reuters and TV5MONDE are trying to make the public believe that Erik Prince is some sort of Rambo that could confront the highly determined young AFC/M23 soldiers, who 1) have been either discriminated against their entire lives for who they are, born and raised in refugee camps, ready to die because they have pledged that they will not grow old in refugee camps like their parents have, or 2) others who have had no country that could keep them safe from armed groups and corrupt officials for 30 years. One high-ranking military officer of AFC/M23 said to my colleague and I, when we asked him about Erik Prince and "his boys", his answer was quite edifying: "those ones, they are even weaker than the wazalendo". The type of sensationalist propaganda made-in Kinshasa, amplified by partners like Reuters, or TV5MONDE Info, only serves to further exacerbate the violence which currently puts at high risk of extermination the entire Banyamulenge community living in High Plateaus and around Uvira, and to sabotage any attempt at achieving peace in #DRC through the #Washington and @Doha peace processes.

Diplomatic Checkmate Against the Kigali Regime. (Full video of Michael Waltz's intervention). Very harsh statements from the United States Ambassador to the UN, Mike Waltz, against the Kigali regime, during the emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council on the situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). In his speech, he firmly condemns Rwanda for its direct support to the M23, explicitly states that Rwandan troops (Rwandan Defence Forces, RDF) are deployed alongside the M23 rebels in eastern Congo (notably in Uvira, South Kivu), and describes this as deliberate sabotage of the peace agreements recently signed in Washington. He mentions recent field evidence, including the use of surface-to-air missiles by Rwandan forces and strategic involvement in planning offensives. Waltz states that the United States will use “all tools at its disposal” to hold Rwanda accountable and demands an immediate withdrawal of Rwandan troops from Congolese territory. Some excerpts: “Since its re-emergence in 2021, Rwanda has had strategic control of its proxy armed group M23 as well as the political wing of M23, the Congo River Alliance or AFC, and has deployed M23 and the AFC to achieve Rwanda's geopolitical objectives.” “In eastern DRC, Kigali has been intimately involved in the planning and execution of the war in eastern DRC, providing military and political direction to M23 forces and the AFC.” “For years, the Rwandan Defence Forces have provided materiel, logistical support, and training to M23 as well as participation in combat alongside M23 in DRC with approximately 5,000 to 7,000 soldiers as of early December.” “Not counting possible Rwandan military reinforcements in this most recent advance.” “We have credible reports of increased use of suicide drones.” “Increased use of artillery by M23 and Rwanda” “including strikes in Burundi.” “We will use the tools at our disposal to hold peace saboteurs accountable.” “We call on Rwanda to respect its commitments and to further recognize the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo's right to defend its territory and its sovereign right to invite Burundian forces onto its territory.” “The fact that UN peacekeepers are besieged by forces supported by a Member State that itself contributes troops to peacekeeping missions is, frankly, a sad hypocrisy...”
