Next in who after the Ramanujan Series? If Ramanujan was the Source Code, Mudumbai Seshachalu Narasimhan (1932-2021) was the Compiler. He took the raw energy of Indian mathematical intuition & turned it into a formal, global language that even the top physicists in the world now use to explain... reality. M.S. Narasimhan (known as MSN) was born into a rural family in Thandarai, Tamil Nadu. MSN was not a fan of the repeat what you are told school system. He was obsessed with extra problems at the end of textbooks that required original thinking. There was no high school in his village. To get an education, he famously traveled several KMs every day on a bullock cart. He ended up at Loyola College, Madras, under Father Racine. Racine realized early MSN was a fearless thinker who could handle the latest French mathematics. In the 1960s, mathematics was split into silos: people who studied shapes (Geometry) did not talk much to people who studied eqns (Algebra). Narasimhan was the man who found a wormhole connecting them & the career defining moment was the "Narasimhan-Seshadri Theorem" (1965). This is the Kohinoor of his career. Working with his lifelong friend C.S. Seshadri, he proved a result so deep it is still taught at every major uni today. They linked Unitary Representations (a complex way of describing symmetries in topology) to Stable Vector Bundles (a way of describing shapes in algebraic geometry). Yrs later, physicists realized this math was exactly what they needed to describe Gauge Theory & Quantum Chromodynamics (the study of how sub-atomic particles stick together). If we ever hear a mathematician talk about the Harder-Narasimhan Filtration, they are referring to a sorting machine MSN co-invented. In complex geometry, some bundles are stable (smooth) & some are unstable (jagged). Narasimhan & Günter Harder proved that every jagged bundle can be perfectly sliced into a unique sequence of smooth ones. This filtration is now used in Number Theory to solve problems that Ramanujan himself might have found fascinating. MSN was famously absent-mindedly brilliant, his wife, Sakuntala (a renowned singer), once recalled that for their honeymoon, MSN packed a suitcase full of Tamil literature & advanced math books. He spent the trip solving eqns be/w sightseeing! A former student recalls playing tennis when MSN walked up & asked, "You have learned a lot of good mathematics, but do you have any mathematical problems to work on?". They spent the next 10 days working day & night to prove a major result in differential geometry. His philosophy was: "Solve the big problem 1st, then worry about the details." MSN is 1 of the most decorated Indian scientists in history: King Faisal International Prize (2006): Often called the Arab Nobel, he won this jointly with Sir Simon Donaldson for his work linking math & physics. FRS & Padma Bhushan: He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society (1989) & awarded the Padma Bhushan (1990). Chevalier de l'ordre National du Mérite: The French govt knighted him for his work in bridging the Indian & French schools of mathematics. Sometimes as fans, we are mostly focused on how the achievements of the team means to us and we forget about the players. How they feel about it, what it means for them to win these games. Take Noni Madueke for instance, his transfer to Arsenal was a mess. A lot of the fans didn't understand the move and there was a lot of displeasure about it online. How do you think that made Madueke feel? This is a guy who was on top of his game in the Netherlands before moving to Chelsea and everything changed for him. He went from a confident dribbling monster, fighting for silverware to whatever he was at Chelsea, a shadow of himself. Now he has won the league in his first season at Arsenal and made the world cup squad for England. Arteta is not only saving the lives of the fans, he is also saving the lives of his players. Thank you Arteta.

It boils down to this concept of signal-to-noise ratio. Steve was not a nice guy, but he was myopically focused on his business in an almost perverse way. He worked 18 hours a day. And I've started to realize that he didn't let anything get in the way of whatever tasks he had to achieve in that 18-hour period. Not a long vision for the year, not for the month, for that day. He didn't let anything get in the way of the four or five things he was going to get done that day. Elon Musk is 100% signal, zero noise. I've seen him walk away from a conversation the minute he realized that there was no useful information in it. But look at what he's achieved. So, what I've learned is you have to figure out how much noise in the day are you gonna actually let distract you from the goals you have to achieve that day.

He had been a working musician since childhood. His ears were everything. In 1798, in the middle of a heated argument with a singer, he noticed for the first time that something was wrong. The sound was thinning at the edges. He could hear voices, but high frequencies were beginning to disappear. He told no one for years. By 1802, the truth was no longer deniable. On his doctor's advice he moved to Heiligenstadt, a quiet village outside Vienna, hoping the country air would help. It did not. There, alone and surrounded by farmland, he wrote a letter to his two brothers that he never sent. It was found among his papers after his death. We now call it the Heiligenstadt Testament, and it is one of the most devastating documents ever written by an artist about himself: "You men who think or say that I am malevolent, stubborn or misanthropic, how greatly do you wrong me. You do not know the cause of my seeming so... what a humiliation, when one stood beside me and heard a flute in the distance and I heard nothing, or someone heard the shepherd singing, and again I heard nothing." The man who invented modern fantasy didn't publish his first novel until he was forty-five. By that age, J.R.R. Tolkien had already built a respectable life. He was an Oxford professor, an expert in ancient languages, with a wife and four children and a settled academic career. He was exactly the kind of man who might reasonably have decided that the shape of his life was already fixed. The work he would be remembered for, he had not yet even begun... The story, which Tolkien told himself, is that one summer he was grading examination papers, when he turned a page and found that a student had left it blank. Without quite knowing why, he wrote a single sentence on it: "In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit." He did not know what a hobbit was. He had spent years inventing languages and mythologies as a private passion, and telling stories to his own children, never imagining any of it would reach the world. But that one line began to grow. It became a story, and then a book, and in 1937, at the age of forty-five, Tolkien published The Hobbit. It was a success, and his publisher asked for a sequel. Tolkien warned them it might take some time. It took 17 years... He wrote it in the margins of a demanding full-time job, revising endlessly, doubting it often. When The Lord of the Rings was finally published, in 1954 and 1955, he was in his early sixties. That book, begun as a middle-aged professor's private side project, went on to sell well over a hundred million copies, to invent modern fantasy as we know it, and to reshape the imagination of the entire world. Tolkien already had a full and respectable life behind him. And still, the thing he is remembered for, the thing that outlived him and reached hundreds of millions of people, was something he began at forty-five, at an age when it would have been the easiest thing in the world to tell himself he had already missed his chance. He didn't. It's never as late as it feels.

Amit Chaudhary was the only son of his parents and only brother of his three elder sisters. He was about to gt married in Jan 2024. On the evening of 14th Sep he called his uncle and told him that the wife of the colonel at whose house he is posted as a House Help under Buddy system of Army is going to murder him. After three days the family received a call from SM of the unit who informed them that they are sending the dead body of Amit to Jammu. The family received the Body on 19th Sep and even now no one from the Army bothered to inform them about the cause and reason of his death. Family is alleging that Wife of the Colonel was forcing Amit to do things with her which he was not comfortable with. And that leads to his murder. Its such a serious allegation and if this is true its a shame for the entire force.

By his early forties, he was running the Brown-Firth Research Laboratory. In 1912, the British military gave him a problem. Their rifle barrels were wearing out too quickly from the heat of repeated firing. They needed a steel that could survive higher temperatures. He was solving a different problem. On 13 August 1913, Brearley cast an alloy with 12.8% chromium. He took a polished sample. He left it on a workbench. Weeks later, he came back. 🔥 Every other sample had rusted. His one had not. A steel that would never rust. He took it to his employers. They were not interested. He took it to the Sheffield cutlers. They told him it could not be sharpened. The talk of the town was that Harry Brearley had invented a knife that would not cut. He persisted. ⚖️ He found a cutler called Ernest Stuart at the Portland Works who tested the steel with vinegar and lemon juice. The blade did not stain. Stuart suggested a new name for it. Issues of paternity have shaped our society for generations, especially in Zimbabwe. They did not start today. I remember going to a funeral with my father in the 1990s, and as we sat around the fire the men began sharing stories. One of them has stayed with me ever since. A Zimbabwean doctor had married a nurse, and they struggled to have children. As usual, when there is no child, the blame was placed on the woman. She went to see her own doctor, who told her plainly that she was not the problem, and advised her to bring her husband for testing. The husband refused, as many Zimbabwean men tend to do. Their marriage eventually collapsed, with the man insisting he could not be the problem because he had a child with another woman before marrying the nurse. That woman, he said, was also a doctor, and he was raising that child. After the divorce, the nurse remarried another doctor, and she immediately fell pregnant. Because it was a tight medical community, the whole situation became a talking point. The ex-husband had loudly declared that his former wife was barren, yet here she was having one child after another, three in total, with her new husband. Meanwhile, the ex-husband remarried, and again there were no children. One day the ex-husband and his former wife met at a gathering. During a casual conversation, as people who once knew each other, she told him directly that he was raising a child who was not his. She told him that he had no capacity to father a child and that if he finally went for tests, he would discover the truth. She reminded him how he had insulted her and her parents, and how he had refused to listen. The revelation shook him. He went for tests, and it was confirmed that he was the problem. He had spent seventeen years looking after a child who was not his. The moral of the story is simple, and I always stress this when mentoring young people. When in doubt, check. In fact, even without doubt, check. A DNA test at birth saves you from future heartbreak. Many men are raising children who are not theirs. Some women know exactly what they are doing. Others genuinely do not know because their relationships overlapped before they settled down. In those cases, even the woman cannot be sure who the father is. So when you have a child, get a DNA test. If you ask for one and a woman becomes defensive or resistant, that is a major red flag. At that point, the test is no longer optional, it is necessary. That is the reality of life today. As they say, trust is beautiful, but DNA is confirmation. In this life we live, hope is not a strategy when it comes to your children, so test your child and protect your future, as the saying goes. I have DNA stories that I could share for a whole year. If compulsory DNA testing was demanded of all of us today, you will be shocked by what will come out. This brother in the video is now going through denial. He has been told the truth, but he is still in shock, which is why he is asking for silly things from this woman. It is hard for any man to discover that the child he believed was his belongs to another man. That is why DNA testing is a necessity and why it should be compulsory.

Yes on the videos we have so far. The initial encounter was him filming them. There was no gun being brandished. They jumped out of vehicles to go to try to intimidate him. Unfortunately there's no video yet between then and when they had them on the ground. When they had him on the ground they were pistol whipping him, at first it looked like a baton, but it's actually a gun. They had him down with at least five officers. You got to wait for a second so he tried to stand up they shot him in the back he was motionless after they shot him in the back. Then there were four more shots or more after that unloaded into his body from a posture of standing above him. Not a defensive posture. He's supposedly has a gun. It looks like ICE took something out of a holster. So it's likely that he did have a HOLSTERED GUN in an open carry state that is not a reason to shoot someone to death. He was not brandishing it -- again it was his camera. That was the reason for the initial approach was to intimidate him about his camera. It is perfectly legal to film ice This is out not murder once again. Now there is some sort of speculation on social that a gun was dropped and a bullet went off. The incident happened after an unidentified student brought a loaded weapon to the middle school. The mother said “the student pulled out the g*n in a bathroom and gave my son a firearm." Sakir, who knows how to hunt and learned about g*n safety from his godfather, knew the weapon was not allowed in school. "Sakir's natural reaction was there's no way I'm going to hold on to this g*n all day," his mother said. "He proceeded to go to class ... and dismantled it in class. There was a teacher in class and everything. People were around and everything." Asked why Sakir did not immediately tell an adult about the g*n, the mother said it was because he was scared and was never taught what to do in that situation. As if one coach is the only responsible for his success and for who he is in every aspect. Meanwhile, this was Carlos at age 10 in Murcia. One can acknowledge the work of a coach and give him credit without diminishing the player, who is the one holding the racket and coming back in historic 5: 30 hours finals, as if he didn't exist or have anything to do with his own success or who he is. A world number one, the youngest in history, isn't solely the work of a coach. Is also the work of his family, all his team and people, but above all, it's HIS OWN WORK, his talent, his commitment to his dream, and his constant sacrifice since childhood. Even if every now and then he has the audacity to need to rest for a few days with his friends or family.
